Both hairstyles are pretty nice. I prefer X-2 though. It has more to it than the X because it was just long hair all the way down (even though that is pretty attractive)

They may not apply growth patterns yes, but that's not whats with her hair in X-2. all she did was cut it short around the edges and then kept her long hair in the center and made it into a ponytail (that's what i believe at least. either that or its just an extension.) I still stand with my decision earlier though.

What? Yuna's hair wasn't long in FFX. It barely came to her shoulders. All that was done to her design in FFX-2 was a layering effect, razoring the ends of those, and flipping it upward.

I've had Yuna's hair for less than a day. FFX-2 Yuna, of course. As for her big ponytail, I agree that it looks ridiculous. It must be made of paper because I can't imagine dragging a couple pounds of fake hair around with my everyday. Either that or she has a really strong neck.
