Has anyone heard about Blender?
If you haven't its a 3D graphic design thing. Kind of like
CS2 but better and free but more difficult to use. I don't
know if I can post the link to the site but if you must
go there its a .org.
...anyhow I made this thread to see if anyone quickly
adapted to it, kinda' like me and Photoshop, its pretty
difficult to use this.

I have heard of it, but from what I hear, it's not exactly the program of choice for digital artists. And I don't do too much graphic design these days, and I have zero talent with 3D rendering so I think I'll stick with what I know, Photoshop and Illustrator.

Wasn't this the program that someone used to make a 3D lamp awhile ago?
I liked that lamp.

Blender is amazing. If it keeps up with its current progress, it will be a viable FREE alternative to 3dsmax and Alias Maya.
Yeah. It is pretty amazing but I'm still having
trouble trying to make my first object!

Its interface is tough to get used to, but it's fun.
Does anyone know how it relates to 3dsmax in terms of ease of use and layout and such? I'm taking a class using 3dsmax, and if I could download a similar program and do my own stuff, it'd be pretty sweet.
