It's fun, which is all it needs to be.

It' enjoyable to play through as it has a good rpg system. I like the sphere grid too. The story is well done, and great too watch as it develops, well backed by good characters and the fact that the graphics are so good looking (not only the strength but the designs and feel given by the graphics). It's an excellent game that culminates in being a wonderful happy experience.

Edit: And while I prefer it too FFIX, it comes nowhere near pawning it.

I play it cuz it's in the FF series XD
and the tag system was a great revolution in the standard ff games
But rest asure the game did have its faults...but lets not get into that ^_~

it was fun because each character had a seperate legendary weapon to find and u need 2 pieces makes the game longer than any other

I agree with the above poster. The summons (aeons) in this game were great, because when you actually summoned them, they acted like another party member, with their own attacks, spells, even their overdrives.

4. To beat all FF games ever made
5. Because it was a good game. And had rikku. Thats good enough graphics for me.

Because it's freaking awesome, that's why!:D I love it cuz it's like a story.....you know, it has meaning to it. Come to think of it, if they made it a movie, it would be so cool! I mean, it has everything: action, drama, suspense, romance......I would say it's my fav game, but I haven't decided whether that or Star Ocean Till The End of Time is better. It's pretty close.:fencing:

He is really annoying. The concept of the character is great, but the execution is poor (he whines too much is one point I find most irritating)

I like the game and play it because its part of the FF cycle... any new FF game is obviously going to be bought and sell big. Never the less this game is amazing and the storyline keeps you playing more till the ending.

I play FFX because of it's unparalleled storyline, amazing music, and blitzball. This is easily one of the best FF games ever made, if mot THE best. (At least, that I have played, which is VII through X-2 and FFT)

The japanese game has him whining a lot so it is not just a voice actor error from the guy in US.

But if you pay attention, Tidus whines a lot more int the beggining than in the end. Example, he does not whine when he is talkint to Yuna about him knowing "everything" (that to defeat Sin she has to die). And he doesn't whine at all to the fayth when he finds out HE has to die to defeat Sin.

To me the whining in the game is to show him growing up right before our eyes...

Well I assume it'd be the same script, only in Japanese, so chances are, if his whining in the english version, his whining in the Japanese version to so it's not just the voice actor like you said...

You also raise good points about him growing up as the game goes on, another reason why X is brilliant. The character development is superb.

Actually, it was the first long-story rpg game I've ever played. Whoa me to! Well first i played it cuz mi bro got it for xmas so i just ine day decided to play it. At first i didnt like it... to much talking and what not. I didnt get the stoary line at all and the sphere grid... well lets not go there. Mi brain wasnt that smart when started so i couldnt figure out anything. ABout ayear later i sayd to mislef "well lets try this one again" I got the strategy guide and Voila! Presto! Alakazam! It became mi favourite game!

Final fantasy is the only thing that keeps me happy i love ffx i have a whole wall dedicated to final fantasy.the only other things that keep me going are chrono cross/trigger all my ff games, ff advent children movie i got,fma and pony man (AKA Roy mustang )lol

i play ffx because of one reason-everything. to me, it is the best game i have ever played, the action thrilled you, the story kept you playing, tidus and yunas love touches you- some of the infinite reasons why me- and millions of other people play this beautiful game. i dont think anyone can say no to that.

oh, yeah, also because of tidus. i was maazed when i first saw ffx, how similar tidus was to myself(not braggin anywhere here) lively, cheerful, charismatic, when he gets an idea in his head, no power on earth will shift it. i- and other people agree (some)share these qualities. im sorry if you dont like wot u hear but thats just how i would put this amazing game.

I play Final Fantasy X because. . . all other video games are lame in comparison. I was never the PlayStation type, but once I started playing X. . . I loved it. The battles are a little boring, but the beautiful-graphic scences & perfect storyline make killing all those hideous-looking fiends worth it. :D

Yeah, there's more to why I play FFX, but if I listed all the reasons, this little box would surely over-fill. . .

I just bought it from an online auction, expecting it to arrive next week. Finally I'll have my own copy, as I played through it twice with my friend's boyfriend's copy :p

But yes, it rules, I'll never get tired of it :D
