our school has a really stupid web blocker that totally ruins everthing, any bad word or anything that might have the slightest link to porn or sex is unallowed we can't go on any games websites and google is very restricted.

Really, wow, my schools blocker is practically non existant, but we have this program that will alert the teachers if your looking at a bad site... BUT GET THIS it alerts the student 10 seconds before it alerts the teacher so you just shut off your computer and your fine....


This guy in my class even used to surf porn sites (thats SURF porn sites, not Smurf porn sites.... sicko) in the corner (he was kinda creepy in grade 10... but whatever....)

We can't go anywhere on our schools; it's the stupidest tihng ever. They're supposed to be there so that we can research, do our homework on it and stuff, but it blocks so many of the sites, it makes them useless. And we end up having to do all of it at home in the end anyways. Lame.

Although when you go to the blocked sites, and they have a little mesage telling you why it was blocked...well some of them are funny. :D

Yes, my school-blocker sucks. I can't get onto EoFF, it annoys me. Although I will probably be very busy in lunch times with work this year, so I won't get time.

Okay. My school has the same situation. But fear not, for I have a way around it that very few people know about.

Type in the URL httpS://www.ultrareach.net. Don't forget the 's' in https. It is a Chinese site, but there is a url bar there. Type in what site you wanna go to, then click the button to the right. (Pressing enter won't work). It will be slower than usual, but usually it bypasses anything). And if your school blocks that, like mine did, go to https://www.wujie.net. Same site, different domain.

EDIT: It will give a Security popup, just say yes, the site is fine.

My high school blocked a whole bunch of sites, but it never bothered me since it's not like I even used the computers at my school anyway. If we ever had research to do, I'd just do it at home.

Now, if my college blocked or restricted any sites, that would upset me since I do use the wireless network on campus quite a bit. But USC doesn't block any sites that I know of, and even if they did, I'm sure it'd only be really weird sites that I don't visit at all.

Stuff like Hotmail, Yahoo, fun sites, forums, are blocked.

If you go on a fun site, you get a message from an IT technician telling you to leave if you are not doing work.

College is supposed to be fun - we should have access to forums, because then we'd become boring people, doing work all the time D:

My school has one but it doesnt block anything out hardly. It blocked out Yahoo last year because people kept checking their yahoo email but they wont block out hotmail for some reason. Yahoo is literally the only site that is blocked by it. Me and my friend play games in our computer classes all the time.
