How many times do you need to play through the game to get everything?

I'm guessing at least two times, since there are two branches of the storyline involving giving the Awesome Sphere away. Also the reward for Leblanc's massage changes depending on whether you succeeded on the first try.

I think it takes about two, one where you get one party, and various other things, like one pr company, you stop the ronso killing the guado, a couple ites from tobli, etc... and another where you do the other party and company, allow the ronso to slaughter the guado etc...

but depending on how good you are at the game, it may take more...

There are a lot of things to see in this game, depending on if you got an Episode Complete or an Episode Concluded. There are five different endings for the Mi'ihen Mystery. There is getting one company or the other to level 5. Ronso onslaught verses no onslaught. The various ways to end the Moonflow part of the story. What happens in the story depending on where you tell the two young Ronsos to go in Ch 3. I would say it would take at least three playthroughs to see everything, maybe more.

Did you give the Awesome sphere to both teams already ?

FFX-2 actually has 105% possible % points, if you chose both sides in 2 games (obviously you can't chose both in one playthrough). Just by giving your sphere to New Yevon in a second playthrough (if you gave the sphere to the Youth League) you can nab an additional 5%, giving you the 100% you didn't get on your first pass. The opposite works too: If you chose New Yevon at first, you will get extra 5 percentage points just by choosing Youth League on a second pass.

FFX-2 is really picky in the way you complete the missions, a simple "X" at the wrong time or a "no" answer and there goes the % for that particular area. Luckily the extra 5% help you complete it in spite of those blunders!

I got 100% on the first playthrough, but I'm hearing it takes 5 tries minimum to get every scene, every item, and every possible pathway through the game.

Not sure. I would say about 4, to get everything. I mean, no-ones perfect on the first try, and on the first try you would probobly go with youth league. And then, oon try two, you probobly went with new yevon and you didn't get everything, on try 3 you probobly went with whomever, and still didn't get everything, practice makes perfect. And then on try 4, you probobly got everything from new game plus playing all those times, probobly like, 500 hours. LOL. :choc2:

You get EVERYTHING in 2 tries.....................for me I had to go through it 3 damn times........*sigh*...so many things to do in that game, you walk more with Yuna in the game than you do MOST of the year.......well maybe not...but damn you gots to walk so much in that damn game. UNLESS you're lazy and fly everywhere with the Celcius...

Just goes to show HOW much Yuna would do for Tidus..............so tough:whimper:
