I bought an issue of OXM with a Quake 4 reavew which is now on 360.
They said that the game barely ran at 30 fps in regular gameplay, and turned into a slidshow in chaotic battles.

this 360 game is useing a engine that has only a step or 2 more detail than doom3(doom3 ran well on the Xbox1)

if the system can't take that kind of punch, how do they expect Gears Of War to work. GOW uses the Unreal engine 3, which puts Q4 to shame. so my question is...If they can't get Q4 to run smothly on 360, how is GOW gana workout?

The Unreal Engines have always been pretty good for optimization. There's plenty of built in options for a developer to use to optimze the levels so they run at a good fps. And seen as Epic are making Gears of War and it's their engine, i'm betting it'll run fine.

it better....cause q4 looks to be a horrible failer on the 360.

They pushed it back to fall, so I'm pretty sure they'll have it functional by then.
