the twist in ep 60 was pretty insane!

The lead character of this is reminiscant of Goku, the brothers from FMA (mental block, cant remember their names:eek: ) and Naruto...really powerful (half) human beings that until in a they are in a tight spot they are otherwise goofy and incredibly funny! Nevertheless this is quality stuff!

I watched the first 3 or 4 episodes. Really good characters and a whacky concept but they managed to pull it off okay. What turns me off though is its one of those that they just run with... there's no real arch or forseeable end. Like Rurouni Kenshi, or DBZ (when it was first being aired) and Inu Yasha. I just can't get into an anime that's super ultra long. Unless its episodes are set up more like American cartoons where they can stand alone and you can just grab one (unless it's part of a "To be continued..."). Ranma 1/2 was like that. This is a good anime. But it's just not for me.

I wonder if they placed a limiter on Ichigo seeing as how he has Captain level strength. I think it could be his 'Medal' or whatever that Soul Society gave him...if there is a limiter that is.

Kon is wonderful. As I understand it Kubo Tite actually voiced him in one of the specials.

I rather enjoy Bleach (I'm made a few threads over the past few months).

I wasn't so surprised by the twist when I saw the episode as I read the manga, but it was pretty surprising when I first found out.

My favorite character is probably... I don't know. Uruhara is great though, as is Kon and Zaraki. I like Yachiru and Orihime too.

Zaraki is just so uber. *_* I mean, he doesn't have a Zanpakutou, yet he pwns anyway. Imagine if he DID have one. For those of you who cannot be bothered to guess, I'll put it in a simple equation for you. =]

Zaraki Kenpachi + Zanpakutou= Total. Pwnage.

Urahara's just great because um.. yes, he's like Bleach's Kakashi. xD; Only minus Icha Icha Paradise. >> And add a cooler voice.

Its sad that I have no idea what any of you are saying. I know Ichigo, main guy. But that's it. The death god(dess) chick was pretty cool. But I don't know her name. And that really huge guy that won't fight but is still totally badass in a fight, he's cool.

I'm assuming you're still on the earlier episodes, Vyk. The female shinigami is Kuchiki Rukia, and the big guy is Yasutora Sado (Chad). Both of whom are main characters.

Most of us have seen the fansubbed anime, and some of us have also read the manga scanlations, so we know a lot of what is going on after the second and third season story arcs (the Soul Society series).

Yeah, I only saw the first 4 or 5 episodes :P Good. But not good enough to keep me into it. I had way too many other animes going at the time (AIR, Black Cat, Blood+, Solty Rei, Mahaou Shoujo Tai, etc.) now I'm down to like... two animes.

I am also willing to give their filler crap a go but considering this is the same studio that pissed off Naruto fans with crappy filler...it will be hard to change my mind and perception.

I also read the manga so I will still get my fix as well. But I do like to see all of those fights animated with pure beauty and elegance.

I can't remember when Naruto picks back up again. I think it will have gone for one whole year before it really picks back up. You have to finish this current arc.

The episode had those great Kon moments. The confrontation between Kon and Renji was pretty funny.

My working theory is that those 3 bad guys at the end of 64 are possibly modified souls. I just put that into my own half-assed context given those three wierd stuffed animals during the credits. It seems like it would make sense that they are following the will of their master. The one that saved them from being killed with the rest of the mod souls.

Although I am OBVIOUSLY getting ahead of myself.

I relate filler episodes or arcs that are episodes that are not based off of the original source material. Bleach the anime is an adapation from the manga. Well now as of episode 64 they are no longer following the manga for a while. They had caught up to it too much and have to buy time until the manga gets enough of a lead again. So now they will 'fill' that void with their own creations with in the Bleach universe.

I hope that
1) I am right
2) This explains stuff
3) The Bleach filler doesn't disappoint in the end

The filler is also left purposely open to (hopefully) seamlessly integrate back into the main storyline. Of course, with Renji's presence there will have to be a few changes, especially since they already did some stuff out of the manga's next arc with Ichigo readjusting to life in the human world.

You may at some point want to check the manga out too. The manga is quite a bit farther and they aren't doing the filler that they started in episode 64.

Oh, and I'm actually rather enjoying the filler episodes. I have no problem with them at all.
