Know of any good alcoholic drink mixes?

I recently learned of one called "Flaming Dr Pepper".

Take a shot glass, fill it 3/4 wih Amaretto and 1/4 with Bacardi 151 set it in a beer mug and fill the mug with beer till the servace just gets to the surface of the shot glass. Take a grill lighter and light the top of the shot glass on fire. Let it burn for a few seconds, blow it out then chug the whole thing while thr shot glass is still in the mug. It's supposed to taste just like Dr Pepper if done properly.

can't remember the third thing, i think it's cider, but I know it's blackcurrant and beer. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I usually just go with vodka and cranberry juice. Or gin and 7up. Mango rum and orange-pineapple-banana juice is also good, but I'm still mad at that drink for what it did to me on New Years Eve.

There are a few others I'm fond of, but I'm usually the drinker, not the maker, so I don't know how to do 'em right.

Original Recipes:
Hypnotic Rose - sweet girly drink, good way to get rid of bad gin

Lowball glass, over ice

2 shots gin
1/2 shot Hpnotiq
1 dash grenadine
Fill slowly with Sprite, maintain red to clear gradient

Serve to women who tell you gin sucks. Then hit on them some.

Slouch Cooler - a variant on the refreshing scotch cooler

Lowball glass, over ice

3 shots scotch
1/2 dash white crème de menthe
Fill with ginger ale, stir

Serve to someone who has bad breath, or who just finished a long day.

Blue Blazer - like hot honey lemon tea plus whiskey

Highball glass

1 sugar cube
1 oz lemon juice
6-8 oz hot water
1/2 tspn honey

Take 3 oz bourbon whiskey and heat. In the meantime, wear gloves, get a lighter, and two metal glasses. Turn off the lights, if possible.

Pour bourbon into one metal glass. Light it on fire. Do cool tricks with the flaming blue bourbon and the metal glasses. When you're bored, pour into the highball and serve hot with a stirstick.

Serve when it's freaking cold outside.

Ryan's Invisible Man

Lowball glass over ice

2 shots gin
1/2 shot brandy
Fill with ginger ale
Squeeze half a fresh orange
Garnish with orange peel

This drink is amazing. That is all.

Standard Recipes: (I'll only list 3)
Manhattan

Cocktail glass

Drop maraschino cherry in glass
Add 2 shots bourbon, 1/2 oz sweet vermouth, 1 dash bitters in shaker
Shake the shaker
Strain into glass

Serve to men - women usually don't like the strong bourbon, unless you use Maker's Mark or something. Replace bourbon with scotch and you have a Rob Roy.

Braveheart

Cocktail glass

Add 2 shots gin, 1 shot scotch, 1 dash lemon juice in shaker
Shake the shaker
Strain into glass
Garnish with lemon peel

The scotch does well to mellow out the harshness of the gin. A good alternative to the gin martini. One good trick for the lemon peel is to scrape it with a knife until it curls up into a neat ribbon.

Irish Car Bomb

Highball glass

Fill shot glass halfway with Irish whiskey, to the top with Irish Cream
Fill highball glass with 8 oz Guinness
Drop shot glass into highball glass and pound

Ugh - I can't do these anymore.

Enough for now.

You know, considering that the average age of the members at EoFF is only 16, I don't think that we should be giving them alcoholic drink recipies. I know there are many here that are of drinking age, but the majority are not so I don't think that we should be posting recipies for them. I, though, will try some of them so thank you. :cat:
