Square Enix is proud to announce the largest FINAL FANTASY XI event ever!

Taking place on the famous Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, FINAL FANTASY XI Fan Festival 2006 will be our first multi-day event featuring numerous attractions. The Festival will feature the world premiere of the playable Treasures of Aht Urhgan, the first chance to speak with the development team from Japan, Ballista Royale live championships, an exclusive live concert by official FFXI music group The Star Onions, and much, much more!

As an added bonus, each registered attendee will receive a "gobbie bag" filled with goodies and a special in-game item! Spaces are limited, so buy your tickets today!

Man, Santa Monica Pier is like 15 minutes from my apartment. I'd love to go to this thing (I want a gobbie bag!) but the admission tickets are a little steep ($85 pre-registration, $100 at the door).

Anyone else thinking about going?

Seriously, if I possibly could get away with playing playing Final Fantasy XI again I would take the opportunity in a second. Unfortunately I just don't have the time to, I had to call off work tonight just so I could study for my calculus test tomorrow. Speaking of which, I should probably get back to that.

The in-game item being given to those who register for the event is called a Moogle Rod. It's cute. I can't wait to find out what kind of special abilities it allows you to do.

I went to a music fest in Austin Texas to see The Pillows,and SOAD play for that price and it was like 2 weeks lol.


Anyway it sounds kewl but man that price would kill me at my current financial state. I would do it if I wasn't going to Europe this summer.

I'd so attend this if I still lived in cali. I need to find my groove back and play ritually again. I just logged a couple of days ago and it seemed like my character was running faster.
