Out of curiousity, when you "xD" (or XD, if you're into that kinda thing), do you actually laugh? Out loud? Or do you add it into a sentence and not actually laugh for some reason?

I do laugh, and I think it is great.

Sometimes I laugh, other times I just smile or something. Usually when I laugh, though, I'll type something else too. So "xD" is just me smiling/chuckling, "hahahaha xD" is me laughing.

Well, since I'm a person with quite the monotonous mood, I usually type xD from when I'm laughing to when I'm mildly amused. Sometimes I just xD because I feel like it. xD

I used to xD a lot, mainly to acknowledge an attempt at humour, but now I use it very sparingly, and only when I truly do laugh/smile.

Usually I'm just grinning. The more D's increases the likelyhood that I am laughing out loud.

Its more how I feel inside towards something than actually expressing it outwardly. When something tickles my fancy I "xD" :D

Edit: Unless of course I'm on the phone with Reles. She gets verbal XDs from me. She likes them~

An "xD" on it's lonesome indicates I find something amusing.

Several Ds will get an increasingly bigger grin until I find it necessary to laugh.

Six lines worth of Ds on irc indicates my sides are hurting.

If I 'XD' it's usually a chuckle or smile joke. When i find something really funny i'll hit em with a lmao or a rofl.

I put "xD" usually to put something is funny but not necessarily laugh-out-loud funny. I put like "xDDDDD" if I laughed out loud. I use the D meter too. :D

I only need to be amused in order to xD. If I was to only xD when I actually laugh, I wouldn't xD very often at all, because I don't laugh extremely often, especially if online.

Personally, I hate it when people type out random lol's or XD's.
Eternal Legend gave a great example (http://www.eternal-legend.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=245) of people overusing LOL, or other acronyms like that.
Anyway, I only say it when I first learn what it means and when I think it's necissary.
