For me, it'll probably depend on what sort of reviews it gets. If it gets fabulous reviews and I'm really pumped, I'd probably pay as much as 60 for it and get it first day. If it turns out not to be that great, I may wait a few months. I'd prefer not to pay more than 50 for it, so if it comes out with a higher release price than that, I'll be pretty annoyed.

I'd say you may just be buying at the wrong stores. Here in New Brunswick, I'm not sure I've paid more than $65 taxes included for a game in at least a year, maybe more. And that tax is 15% by the way. I find it hard to believe you'd be paying more in Toronto, where if anything, you'd think store's would have enough sales volume to have slightly lower prices than places here in the maritimes.

I'm not saying you necessarily can't find games any cheaper than that, but if that's really how much your average game costs at all stores in Toronto then I must say I'm kind of shocked.

Back on topic though, I will be buying this game, and I'm willing and able to pay whatever it costs, but I doubt it will be more expensive than most other games.

Considering the Final Fantasy series is just about the only games I actually buy, not rent, and that I'm a huge fan of it, I'll defintely buy it. Either 59.99 or 69.99 (the day it comes out) here on The Rock, plus the 15% tax, my fellow Canucks. I'm pretty sure it'll be 59.99, though.

If you wanted to wait a few months, it would go down to 49.99, most likely. Then, 29.99 if and when it becomes a greatest hit.

Anyways, I'll most likely buy it, regardless if its 69.99 or 59.99. $10 either way really doesn't mean jack-$#%! on a game like that.

Ya srsly, no ships fly in FF games.

I'll be reluctant when I buy it. I played the demo and absolutely hated it. Running around in battle didn't help much, as enemies were just as fast as your characters and they hit you, even if they obviously don't hit you with their weapon. The on-map battles also eliminated battle music, which was one of my favorite things about FF.

I've never actually played an FF demo, other than this, of course, but one of the missions had you hunt monster horses. After killing three, a T-Rex randomly comes out of the jungle and randomly starts attacking you. This one had me in a fit of rage and laughter. I really hope this is left out of the game.

So far, I'm really not that impressed. If Square fixed these problems for the final game, then I'll probably end up liking it. My only reason for buying it, at the moment, is to have it in my collection.

Even though I am a bit dissapointed in the battle system, I'll still get it. I'm sure I'll get used to the battle system. I do prefer the FFX turn based system, and having separate battle music, but I'm sure it'll rub off.
