View Full Version : What if the KH Realm was an alternate Earth?

KH takes place in a magical realm where certain lands are worlds. What if the KH realm was another earth? In JLA/Avengers, there are two earths. In DC Comics' Crisis on Infinite Earths, there are 5 earths. What if the KH realm was an alternate earth? It would not be the earth we live in; another earth in another universe, in a similar fashion to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Most Square games are set on some form of Earth that's removed to some degree from the one we know, save for the games which are stated to be on some other planet (FFX is on Spira, FFIX is on Gaia and Terra, etc.) Some are closer than others to "our" Earth, the Chrono games, FFIV, and FFVII probably being the closest, as some items from our history and knowledge base are actually referenced in those games, though usually in a limited fashion. KH could be considered more time travel than anything else, because most of the different "worlds" are modeled after different time periods in our history; Agrabah is modeled after an Islamic sultanate of the first millennium, The Lion King supposedly takes place on the plains of Africa despite the story's lack of human participation, and so on and so forth.

eh.......wait, what if KH happened a long long time ago in a galaxy far away, instead of in another realm?

Then Emperor Palpatine would have BDZ'd the KH world immediately and all your favorite Disney characters would have died horribly.

...I think I just got an erection.

How about this: What if our Earth was simply another world in the KH multiverse? Remember, Gummi Ships are the only thing that can traverse the gap between worlds, and then only because the worlds were recently linked. Until that point, each world was completely seperate from the others. What if they aren't simply worlds, but perhaps entire seperate dimensions, and only the Gummi blocks (which came from the void between dimensions) can survive the interdimensional passage? Mayhap our world is connected, we simply haven't found the Gummi blocks needed to access and traverse the void..?

1 question disproves everything that you've asked so far.

are you saying that Tetsuya Nomura has been to this alternate realm or is just a good guesser?

I just thought: Certain "worlds in KH would be located on certain places on Earyth! For example, Destiny Islands would be located near Hawaii, Disney Castle somewhere near London, UK, Agrabah in Saudi Arabia, Port Royal in the Carribbean, Neverland near London, Mulan in China, Olympus in Greece, Traverse/Twilight Towns and "Deep Dive City" somewhere near New York City, Hollow Bastion near London, Deep Jungle and Pride Lands in Africa, Beast's Castle near London, and the 100 Acre Wood in Yellowstone National Park.

except for the fact that each place was it's own distinctive world, unconnected, removed, seperate, and unknown from each other untill the heartless came, even then, they still had very little contact with each other.

This is starting to confuse me.

I can see why Neverland is in London, cause of Big Ben, but why everything else?

SuperMillionaire

Because all of those events were originally on Earth.

Once you leave neverland in the game it says your in london I believe.

So we can just go ahead and throw away all that darn logic k?
:p

No, not perhaps, definately. Neverland is on a star and London is on earth, end of discussion. How has this thread even last this long?

So you are saying that since they take place on Earth, they should take place in London?

No. Okay, Neverland is on a star, but London, Agrabah, and all sorts of other places are supposedly originally from Earth.
