rikaichan is a Firefox extension that displays an inline popup showing the English definition of a Japanese word underneath the mouse.

Features:

* Get the definition of a word by simply hovering the mouse on top of it.
* Can be used as a manual J->E dictionary.
* Automatically de-inflects verbs and adjectives.
* Detailed kanji view shows meaning/keyword in English, on/kun readings, and other information.
* Hiragana, katakana and half-width katakana are treated the same making it possible to lookup stylized/emphasized words like 「ガンバレ!」 which is normally be written hiragana.

Edit: It seems to be having trouble installing. The window just kinda sits there. And I set FireFox to allow it. Hmm...

You can enable/disable it at your leisure. Or uninstall it back out if you don't like it :P

Awesome. I'm learning Japanese so I'll soon get this if I get a connection at home (they use IE at college -_-).
