FF8 Challenges?

I've beaten FFVIII about 4 or 5 times now and I want to do it with a low level challenge(s).

Can anyone suggest a couple?

The real challenge is to do a no junctioning challege, levels are pretty irrelevant.

I actually started a challenge that is no stat junction. The rules are :

1. No stat junctions
2. Only junctioning GFs for access to commands
3. Magic and summoning IS allowed
4. No equipping +X% abilities (kind of like stat junctions)

I'm trying to keep at a low level to make it easier...I'm at level 8 right now and I'm at the SeeD ball.

yeah, try that, its really hard, i did it once but gave up halfway through disk 2, but if you want a challenge i strogly advise this one:choc: :moomba:

Try this:

1. Don’t junction a GF. Ever.

2. No power levelling. Only fight battles that you are forced to fight when moving directly from locations that further the plot.

3. No playing cards.

I may or may not try that myself one day.

O.o Not junctioning a GF ever? That's just like nik0tins. and i cant do that. itd be so boring just attacking...because no GFs means no commands other than attack.

i might try avoiding the battle with the Brothers one day and seeing what it would be like to battle at level 100

i got an idea...beat Omega Weapon with the Revolver Blade and not the Lionheart...And with the other 2 chars dead and never be revived ... really stupid eh? :P

defend, zell and rinoa/irvine, lots of time...

What do you mean by Zell, Rinoa/Irvine? It's Squall that was supposed to be used.

Oh sorry... I didn't see that the other two characters were suppose to be dead... anyway its still possible to beat omega without using lionheart or even Squall for that matter... just remember to have defend equipped to the character you are using...

That alone isn't enough. You need GF's for Light Pillar too.

You could also have something else to help make it a little easier. Triple and/or drain junctioned to your weapon. Then you could attack and heal in the same turn

Well, since it is Squall only, and nothing says that you can't use junctions, comands or invincibility items, it is actually pretty easy. Even without Hero and Holy War, it isn't THAT hard. Omega's fatally weak point is his pattern. He can't use three Light Pillars in a row liek Ultima Weapon.

And why, exactly, can't you play cards in a No Junction Game? No Junction means No Card Mod, so it won't matter if you play cards.
