Who are your favorite guitarists? Why I ask? Because I'm in need of knowing some more. I just have an urge to learn about some new ones. These are ones I enjoy.

Ryan Key (Yellow Card)
Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)
Beillie Joe Armstrong (Greenday)
Deryck & Dave Baksh (Sum 41)
Hillel Slovak (Red Hot Chilli Peppers)
Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
Johnny Greenwood & Ed O'Brien (Radiohead)
Thom Yorke (Radiohead) (I seperated him because I like his music. Though I like Johnny's playing btter, Thom deserves to be seperated. I mean you never know if it's Ed or Johnny playing since sometimes it's one, not the other.)
Tom DeLonge (Blink 182)
Daron Malakian (System Of A Down)
And that dude from Rage Against The Machine

These are just guitarists I enjoy. Not all are my favorite band though. My top 3 favorite out of those are Kurt, Jimmy, & Daron. So please. Tell me yours. I need to see others materials. Hey, I can learn a thing or two about being a guitarist myself. Getting better every day and all. And I would add Jimmy Hendrix but I only heard 2 songs from him.

I like your choices. I have to agree those are all great guitarists.

After hearing some of the guitar from the Velvet Revolver's album, I have to add Slash to the list. Also, I've always enjoyed Joe Perry as well.

I forgot about Dave Gilmour. Just can't find a Pink Floyd song that doesn't start with a freakin intro.

These are in no order...

Kurt Cobain - Mainly because the style of them, there very catchy and stick in your mind(Simple but good)

Jimmy Page - Oh my god....AMAZING, his solo's, his riffs, he is great.

Kirt Hammet - A very talented guitarist, I like him for his "shredding" and fast heavy riffs.

They are my 3.

Wow! Kudos to Malevolence, Brian The Pink Shark, and Suikojowy, for the great, no Amazing taste in music and guitarists, Their lists are basically the exact same as what mine would have been. But I do have one other guitarist that does amazing funk, Prince! When I heard him play guitar, I was surprised at his skills.

2. Billie Joe Armstrong (Green Day)

All he does is abuse power chords. He's a good guitarist but not my favorite. He just uses them in different strings from G,D,A to D,A,E.
