Defenitely, but if I say no then they make out like im the worst person out there. Cant "just" say no here, theres always a debate after, and my parents always win! So I dont bother arguing much

My mum never made me do stuff like that. Might be why I got kicked out! My girlfriend does, though. I still don't do it!

The only 2 orders I recieved from my mum growing up were:
"Turn off that PS2/CD/video/TV now!"
and "Get Up!"

Who studies?

Whenever my parents tell me to clean my room or something, it really needs to be done so I don't argue. No, I don't really hate it.

Quit whining. Your parents order you to clean your room and study because they want you to actually take some responsibility for yourself and your life ie. so you're not finding yourself at 35, with no prospects but a litter-strewn apartment to return to once you've finished flipping burgers for the day.

Do ya get me, sweetheart ?

Man, I hate it when my parents ask me to do something miniscule in exchange for feeding and housing me.

Lousy parents.

I say, "Sure". I mean, they are the reason I exist right? So I don't bother much if they tell me to do some chores around the house.

I'm a parent, but I've never really had to say any of those things. My daughter loves homework, especially if it has anything at all to do with Math and she has to live in her room so that's her business.

you have to do it anyways, so why not sooner then make your parents mad? plus, it shows them you will be able to take care of yourself and allow you to do more things. :) but, yes, at times it may be very very annoying, specially when you are in a moody day. :p

The only thing that they yell at me about that pisses me off is when they scream about how I have my TV on at night, since I get terrified to sleep without it. xD But really, I'm lucky since I don't really have to do chores or anything much, so I do what they say. :)

If I don't clean my room on my own, it will become a pigsty. So I don't need to be told by my parents. ^_*

One time my mum asked me to clean my room, so I kung-fu kicked her through a window. YEAH, TAKE THAT YOU FASCIST! YOU CAN'T CONTROL ME!

My parents didn't give a damn what I did. They were far too wrapped up in themselves.

I do, but then again I do have a lock. So if they do clean it, it's on me for not locking my door.

I'm not told to clean my room, I just do it. If I didn't I'd be lost in a jungle of papers, magazines, clothes, school stuff, ya get me, right? lol

I'm a very clean person, I enjoy tidying and cleaning every so often. It makes me feel better for some reason, it's a stress reliever for me. I'm not a clean freak or anything, but I'd say I get the urge to clean atleast once a month.

Something like this. 'Cept my dad died when I was 17. My brothers tried to make me play man of the house since they were both moved out. But I figured eh, screw 'em. Mom's a capable person. She wasn't asking for much. Anything she did ask for I tried to provide. She hasn't ordered me to do anything since I was a kid. I can't remember any orders my dad would have gave before he left. He was pretty easy going too. My parents were awesome. But I guess they lucked out. A worse child would have totally took advantage of them.
