For some reason, I can usually tell whether an enemy is undead or not, there's just someting about its graphics.
Undead monsters tend to look much more "thrown together", appear in pretty dark colours and are usually designs of the DEAD, which is pretty ironic.
They normally look like ghosts, skeletons, zombies and the like. ^^

when it has a sash on it that says "undead of the year" lol.^_^

seriously though,i recognize undead enemies when you see something else where the skin should be (i.e. decaying flesh or bones).

if they don't look like zombies or ghosts, i imagine they're undead if their skin is, like, greying or bluish.

or if "zombie", "bones" or "undead" is in the name.

umm... the names sort of signify it... like uhh... ZOMBIE and GHOST... in FFextreme I thought the Spirits were undead... Cure just healed them...

If they like to suck brains, they are undead. Simple. *shot*
