Help With Mystery GOO PLEASE!

I am trying to get ultima weapon and I need to synthesize 4 more things. But, they all require mysery goo. I have had zero luck fighting the mushrooms and getting the goo. tips?

uh... mystery goo is pretty hard to come by... try a FaQ
or wait for someone less lazy than I am to post......
your easiest chance is with the white mushrooms.

I remember there being a way to get the mystery goo without fighting the mushrooms, but I've long since then forgotten. The white mushrooms are simple, if you can understand what they're after, I remember seeing a guide once they're pretty easy to come by.
Or the other blue mushroom's easy too, it just requires timing, and make sure to get your temporary characters away from it or they'll ruin it

here is a trick, and it worked for me.

go to the "final rest" area of end of the world. save your game, then do a soft reset. load up the game you just saved. then, go into the room with all the heartless. there should be some type of mushroom there now. (black, white, and the annoying bouncy ones.) hopefully white mushrooms appear...(or unless you can kill a black one with a critical, the only way to get goo from them, i hear.)

anyway, if you dont get the mushroom you want, or you dont encounter them, save, then soft reset again.

now when you do encounter white mushrooms, you should use the same spell to please them each time. youll have a better chance of getting the mystery goo if you do, plus youll get a magic arts and a gem. (if you have the save the queen, you wont really need the arts anyway...)

anyhoo, i used this trick to get the neccesary mystery goo.

edit: these are the spells you should use depending on what the white mushrooms do. ( i hope theyre all correct, if not, someone correct me.)

light over the head- thunder

floating- gravity

shivering- fire

fanning itself- blizzard

spinning around- aero

stops moving- stop

on the ground- cure

you need to use the spell while they are in the act of doing these things. otherwise, the mushroom just gets pissed off and will run away anyway. also, if you take too long to kill them, they will just run away. (damn things...)

try the rare truffles at the deck of the pirate ship at neverland.specifically at neverland,since you can fly,making the job much easier.make the truffles bounce (by attacking them upward) into the air for as many times as you can.the chances of them dropping mystery goos are high (if not 100%) if you make them bounce many times.exp is great as well.first hit gives 1 exp,2nd gives 2,3rd gives 3...up to 100 (max).a total of 5050 easy (...lol!) exp.

yes they always leave a mystery goo thats how i get them

I agree with yuno and Tifa's Real Lover (really. Bouncing rare truffles in Neverland is easily the best place to get Mystery Goo. Once you get the pattern down, you can bounce them easily to 100, collecting Mystery Goo, Elixirs, and Megalixirs to your heart's content.

uh...yeah...umm...I got the mysterey goo back when this thread was alive. I agree though. Ultima Weapon is ugly. Btw, Welcome to Eyesonff, Porem.

ehh the campsite in deep jungle or was it called...if theres none there goto the cliff and fight a few battles then go back repeat it

I'm pretty sure if you go to the pumpkin patch in halloween town and there's the purple mushrooms then you hit an exploding jack-o-lantern and throw it at them then booya. Mystery goo for you. Easily the easiest way of getting it in the game.

i noticed that around the second half of the game they seem to apear almost every time in the holloween town graaveyard.... maybe it was just my game but i got ton's of goos from that....

same as me, but in deep jungle i got more appearences from the mushrooms...but in holloween town graveyard its smaller so if you use thunder..
