I believe that's his name. I mean the boss at the end of the moogle cave place that gets set on you near the start of Galuf's world. He whupped my butt, and he whupped it good.

I was using a Knight-Summoner-Monk-Black Mage combo, but this guy had insane speed and a critical hit that did about 2000 damage. And he used it a hell of a lot. Plus, he's at the end of a dungeon with no save points.

Any tips or advice? Do I need a job change?

He's undead so abuse the fire magic :) (or if you can't be arsed and want to progress in the game, use a pheonix down on him for an instant kill. might take a couple of tries to work) I think you have been taking a beating from his Bone attack. It's like mealstrom and doomclaw. It leaves the character with single digit HP.

theres a reason for the pheonix down in the treasure chest just before the fight;).
