Gunner's Gauntlet help

i've beaten it before, but for some reason i just can't today. does anyone have any tips/ tricks to help me beat it. i used to stay on the beginning of the level until i got my multiplier all the way up, but now i can only get to about 225. any suggestions, please!

Yeah, when you start, just kill the ones you start out with. Then go to the next area, run up and kill whatever is there. Then when you get to the 3rd area, start killing everything. When you reach the end of the area, run back and then start killing everything again. Continue until you get 500 points. If you are under 30 seconds, then you got to go to the beach. So go kill the big thing in the next area with death ammo, and then run to the beach.
