Comparing FF's

[Theory Master]

I was comparing FF's today on their attributes on a scale from 1-3 (3 being the best) and found out from VII through X (on physical gameplay attributes only, comparing the story is out of the question)
they are equal in their own ways (X-2 sucked for me i threw it out of my collection the minute i completed it, severe dissapointment or what?!?)
i digress...
on comparing ff's, heres an example.

Chocobo's Summons
FFVII 2 + 2 = 4
FFVIII 1 + 3 = 4
FFIX 3 + 1 = 4
FFX 1 + 3 = 4

Here on the choco/summon graph we see the two are in a pristine state of balance. IX has great chocobos that dig for treasure and even level up their beaks, but poor summons, VIII is the opposite.
X is similar to VIII in the respect that it has poor chocobo quests but purely excellent summons, VII has pretty good chocobos and pretty good summons.
What do you think, clever or what?!

On subject (or as much of one as there is), this is silly it looks to be that you're trying to prove these games similar because of (as Kawaii said) arbitrary numbers about the chocobo sidequests. I vote the adeptly named "Theory Master" off the island.

let me try explaining again...

FFVII has good summons and good chocobo sidequests 2 + 2 = 4

FFVIII has great summons and poor chocobo sidequests 3 + 1 = 4

FFIX has poor summons and great chocobo sidequests 1 + 3 = 4

FFX has great summons and poor chocobo sidequests 3 + 1 = 4

now its not to be taken too seriously its just a bit of fun ok?

This is, of course, entirely based on your opinion. I consider FFIX to have some of the best summons in the series. I really don't see the point of this; you're using numbers that ultimately have no real meaning to prove...something? To answer your question, no this is not clever, and reading this thread has single-handedly ruined what was up until now a pretty good day for me.

I'm guessing he means in strength... which is true if you didn't boost them and get gems for them. On the other hand if you did this is once again nuts.

But this is supposed to be fun... so here's my theory to go for fun (not serious): there is a correlation between how important the Cid in the game is to the story and whether Mukki or some oddly surprising character is in it (the more important the Cid the higher chance of Mukki):

FFVII has a very important Cid and one Mukki 3+10,000=10,003

FFVIII has an important Cid and a person who pretends to be the opposite gender (Dollet Pub) 2+6,000=6,002

FFIX has an important Cid and Kuja 2+7,000=7,002

FFX has a loudmouthed Cid who was pissy and the closest thing to a weirdo was Seymour (but no sexual innuendos have been proven) 1+2,000=2,001

As you can see there is a clear correlation between the importance of Cid and how odd the characters the creators made are... which leads us to the clear deduction that the more power Cid has the more Mukki types occur... fascinating.
