any1 heared of penance?(spoilers)

A friend of mine who is ffx obssessed told me that once u kill all the dark aeons, theres one more in the calm lands called penance. who is (by wut he said) the hardest boss in all of ff! tell me it's true!

He's a lot harder than Nemesis (hardest boss in NTSC FFX) and the only way I could beat him was by Zanmato-ing him. :D

I don't know about hardest out of all the FFs, but he certainly does have the most HP. I think it was 16 million. O_O

I found that pic on warmech.net. It is quite possible to win with those stats. For all you know Yuna's next action could be summoning Yojimbo, followed by a free Zanmato.

All the Dark Aeons except Dark Anima have been defeated in a NSGNZ (No Sphere Grid, No Zanmato) challenge. This means the characters had their initial stats and Zanmato was not allowed.

Obviously she's equipped with armour that has the Break HP Limit ability and she's activated enough HP nodes to give her more than 9,999 HP.

have you learnt nothing from seeing all of these low level FF challenges. of course its possible. just because you cant do it doesnt mean other people cant.and why isnt it possible to use zanmato on all of the dark aeons? it is!

Before fighting Penance, defeat all Dark Aeons. Armors will be Break HP Limit, Auto-Haste, Auto-Ribbon & Auto-Phoenix/Auto-Protect. HP must be 45-75k, MP at 999, Core stats including luck at 255, sacrifice some Aeons, sacrifice all gil (about 10 million) to let Yojimbo use Zanmato if you are lucky enough, though. You should beat him for about 30-45 mins.

Ya i am...and my characters really havent got good stats...thats the main thing. I would go and run around to get some random battles but im in a bit where you cant do that.

You don't want Zombieproof. You need to have some characters in Zombie to prevent Megadeath wiping you out.

Don't forget Zombieproof and Deathproof armors to fight Yunalesca before Penance. DEATHPROOF armor is a must!

You don't want Zombieproof. You need to have some characters in Zombie to prevent Megadeath wiping you out.

Getting enough Farplane Winds for Deathproof on more than one armour will take forever. Your only source after capturing all the fiends in the Calm Lands is from bribing Epaaj.
