Beatrix Vs. Fratley

The only thing that ever pissed me off about Final Fantasy 9 is the fact you don't get to see a fight Between Beatrix and Sir Fratley, since that was part of the reason fratley left was to meat Beatrix. So how many of you are mad at this, and who do you think would actually win if they fought.

I think that Beatrix would win.

He does mention Beatrix in this conversation, but all he says is that there are some more powerful than even he, Fratley, and he names Beatrix as that person. And Beatrix would whip some "a" double "s"

i realy cant decide. we all know that beatrix has amazing moves and cool abilities and skills but with fratley we just dont know. he probbably in battle is just as good as beatrix and besides, hes a dragoon. i realy cant choose. its an unfair competition becuase none of use realy know how powerful fratley is.

Sir Fratley cannot even remember his true love ( Freya ), so...that would mean, if he cant remember the most imortant thing to him, then he has probably forgotten his fighting skills rendering him a harmless mouse allowing Beatrix to beat him over the head with her sword! :D

That's just what she says. It's like when guys say "I've got a 10 inch *cough*" but you never know. Chances are they're lying and are teeny.

So Beatrix is lying to make herself sound good. And Fratley travelled the world, no doubt killing EVERYTHING that tried to harm him. On his own.

There's nothing in the game that says Fratley ever killed anything on his travels other than the three mages we witness him kill. In fact, Freya says "I climbed the highest mountains only to hear rumours of your victories", suggesting no-one is quite sure of what he has done.

Also, there were never any rumours of Beatrix dying. There were such rumours of Fratley's death. He couldn't have been much of a warrior if people were saying he'd died.

Perhaps Fratley took on such ferocious enemies, beast that would easily kill any normal warrior (*cough Beatrix cough*), that everyone assumed he was dead after he disappeared to carry on his travels. Because he was such a kind person, he recquired and wanted no praise, so would leave instantly after killing the beasts.

It's hard to say, since their styles are so utterly different. Fratley and the dragoons strike and disperse immediately, while Beatrix and Steiner are stand your ground types. We also have no idea what Fratley is like in game, though it should be noted that plot and battle power do not particularly coincide (If Steiner was as powerful in battle as the backstory said (fought Beatrix to a standstill), the entire first part of the game would be a cakewalk).

Honestly I think Beatrix can kick both of their asses, Fratley told freya that beatrix is tougher than him and freya along with zidane,vivi and quina fought against beatrix several times and beatrix kicked all of their asses so there..
