Does anybody skate here? It seems that all skateboarding websites have been going slowly downhill. Most people go on and lie about their skating abilities, 10 year olds making sponserme videos with cavemans down a curb... then flame people for critising them and those who go on bag out Bam Magera (I didn't know who he was untill I signed up to a few message boards).

Im was wanting to see if there are any people that actually skate on this site.

Not so much media as just general stuff:]

I've never skated, but I've noticed that I dont' see much of the skater culture that I used to. Of course, that could be that my friend who obsessed over hot skateboarders went on to obsess over hot emos.

Interesting. . . I think that skateboarding has been replaced by emo as the popular subculture culture.

I never learned how, and if I tried to do it now, I know I would break a few bones.

Skateboarding died a few years back.

Here in Australia, most of the 'emos' all wear skate brands like ZooYork, etnies, vans possibly element. All they all suck anyway.
Lots of 10 year olds want to be like Bam Magera thesedays... Tony Hawk's isn't very popular now (even with the new game and 2 companies).

ps I wasn't sure where to put this topic.

I'm way too afraid to try skateboarding properly. But uh, riding on your stomach and pushing yourself with your hands is pretty fun. :D

I skate. I stopped for wrestling season, but once its over Iīm back to skating again. Iīm 15 and still have problems with some basic tricks. It is really sad how all of the īskatersī canīt actually skate. Yeah, I have noticed how many people lie about their skating abilities. Me, I usually just say I suck, which I do, even though I can do good tricks, I can not do them often enough for me to consider myself real good. Like, I can impossible, but only about 1/3-1/4 of the time. Still cannot seem to 360 flip though.

I used to skateboard but now I don't simply because I prefer learning guitar more now and plus where I live skateboarding spots are really hard to find.

I skateboarded in like 5th and 6th grade. I was learning to do kickflips but my skateboarding buddies started smoking pot so I stopped hanging out with them. Which sucked 'cause it was my friend's skateboard I was using. Myu mom bought me my own, but it had plastic trucks. xD

It wasnt a thing that seemed interesting.

I used to skateboard. I learned heaps of cool tricks from here, when they had videos of all of their tricks. Now there are only photo sequences. :{

I went through a skateboarding stage about 3 or 4 years ago. Could do a few tricks but after about a year and a half I got bored with it and my deck ended up gaining spiderwebs in the wardrobe :greenie:
I havn't thought about skating since, must have been a phase...............................('Yeah its just a PHAAAAAAASE!!!':sing: )

I used to skate for around 3-4 years, with 3 other friends. A couple ended up getting sponsered, but I gave it up to do more stuff with my girlfriend (who I am still with. ^^)

We all could do some pretty neat stuff. I think everyone gave it up a year or so after high school though.
