Not really. There's tomato paste, vinegar, water, salt, and a ton of high fructose corn syrup.

The high fructose corn syrup is in everything these days, but the vinegar and high salt content are what throw it off in my opinion.

Your spelling of tomato made me think of calling you Dan "theundeadhero" Quayle. :p

As for your observation, it's a good one. Ketchup could probably be called jelly of some sort.

Tomatoes aren't fruit to me, NO NEVER. ;-; They will always be remembered as a vegetable.

Jelly has a clear consistency to it. Ketchup does not so it can't be jelly. Jelly also jiggles. Ketchup does not. It's more of a sauce, like apple. :cat:

Tomato is not a fruit. It's a human being.

Talking about weird fruits, did you know that the banana plant is a herb and the banana itself a berry? I now have an overwhelming desire to go buy some bananas...

The U.S. Supreme Court settled this controversy in 1893, declaring that the tomato is a vegetable, along with cucumbers, squashes, beans, and peas, using the popular definition which classifies vegetables by use, that they are generally served with dinner and not dessert.

Well, that's just America, I guess.
