I saw many movies of a song with a Final Fantasy Clip someone made. You know, for example the song Chop Suey with all Clips edited on it from Final Fantasy 8, 9 and 10.
I also would like to make those audioclips, the editing and all won't be a major problem, but my question is: Where can I download or get the original clips from within the Final Fantasy games.
I got all the games myself, so maybe it is possible to get them from the cd's? Or can I just download em somewhere?

They can be downloaded from sites such as bluelaguna and I think there's a thread on ripping FMVs from the disks in the help forum.

If you use downloaded footage and post them at self-respecting AMV(anime music videos.) forums (not here), you will be laughed at.

Rip them yourself. You can use ffx2mov for FFX, psxmc for probably all of the playstation1 games, and there may be a utility for ripping ffx-2 now, the project-fao site seems to list one, but I don't feel like seeing if it's legitimate:] The last link has a dos FMV extractor for ff8. It's very basic, but I got a kick out of using it.

Ok, thanks man!
I very much like the http://fatoprofugus.net/ff8/ thingy.
But two questions:
It seems psxplay (which is recommended to watch the .str files) only plays 75% of the movies. It says somewhere this is due the fact I don't have got an registration key. Now, it also says I can download it from a side, but the side is down... You happen to know an regkey?
And also, would it be possible to rip other scene's from other Final Fantasy's with this?

Thanks again m8!

Nevermind about the registration key.
But the question about the other scenes from other FFs is still open ;)

Psxplay will play str files from anything, but the dos program will only rip the ff8 fmvs.

Use psxmc for ff9 and 7 I guess, and ffx2mov for ffx.

umm do you know how to combine the corresponding audio file to the corresponding FMV? When I ripped the FMV they were silent

That's because they render the music in real time, usually, instead of playing back a file.

so how do you get an FMV with the corresponding music?
