Am I right to assume the book is "How to Draw Manga" by Katy Coope? XD

I have manga-style art at my deviantart (http://www.miriellechan.deviantart.com).

If its the same person she went to school with my friends :P I think I might have met her once or twice ^^

As people have said, very cute but the persons figure needs work :)

Your on a good start, keep at it and I say you have potential to go far.

But I'd also suggest looking for other books. Katy Coope's How to draw manga book is good, but she tends not to go into a great deal of detail, leaving a gap between the level of her work and the level of the work you finish with. Don't get me wrong, she is a good artist, but although her tutorials are simple, they're very limited.
I'd suggest searching through the internet for some online how to draw manga tutorials, there are lots of very good ones out there. (I know tonnes, ask me if you need any) And I'd also suggest trying to buy a book from the official How To Draw Manga series, they have published over 20 different types of tutorial books and each are amazingly thorough. Try looking into different styles and techniques of drawing manga, and pretty soon you'll develope a good technique of your own.

Good work but If I'd say anything about it and consider this a tip rather than an attack on your work but try and get the colouring in a bit neater and in the lines.:D
