If the late-comers want the hotel, they can help toward the cost. Most of us have a calculator so it can be sorted out on cost on a shared amount.Because of the small amount, we're only booking 2 rooms at the moment, but that could change with the unconfirmed and the late-comers. Lasuria & kitten are getting their own room the current room costs have gone down for the group. Currently, I calculate it to be:

£70 for each room so...
£140 for 2 rooms.
8 people staying...

140 DIVIDE 8 = 17.5 = £17.50

However, in a alternate universe where ALL the uncomfirmed & late-comers need a hotel for the night, we'll have to get another room. (Minus Baloki) It'll be £14 (210 DIVIDED 15 = 14)

However, THAT never happens so we'll just sit back and find out.

If you're worried, we're all generally sticking together on this meet-up as one big group. The Team Leaders thing is just the poor man/woman who has to sort out those people in the run up. So those in mine need not fret, you're not gonna be stuck with a 6ft teen with sleeping problems.

Well from my own personal experience PhantomXD, I only knew Psychotic well enough before going to my first meet-up a year ago. I'd spoken to boris but that was about it. I enjoyed myself no end. As long as you're willing to be friendly, people are friendly back. Don't alienate yourself, and we won't alienate you. Plus, you are in the same boat as quite a few this time. So I wouldn't worry too much.
Just don't insist we HAVE to talk about Final Fantasy. :D

Nope, I'm in Year 13. I'm 18 and wonderful. (according to my girlfriend. Everyone else thinks *shrugs shoulders*) I might appear that I'm in Uni because of my wonderful nature and older-man appearance and plus, when you met me I was hanging with all the older people. But that's because I knew 'em. As for the order, I got C's in both those subjects at GCSE so I won't be much help to you. Now if you wanted to have a essay about the narrative structure in Jane Eyre or a drmatic recreation of the events of Jane Eyre or (indeed) the philsophical interprestaion of Jane Eyre...I'm your guy.

We're starting the meet-up in Birmingham on Saturday. That's the DAY of the meet-up. Now, if you're staying in a hotel arranged by us(extra charges apply of course) then you can stay till Sunday. I'm assuming some will stick around, talk fun stuff and generally enjoy. After that point, it's up to you. I'm assuming most will consider it over and go home on the Sunday but I'm sure you (and your girlfriend) can stay as long as you want.

Right... We're currently confirmed 9 people staying. In this case, I'm sure we can keep the 2 room format with one person more in a room. Best be quiet about this to the hotel people.
If this is true then it adds up to be: *quick math*
£15.55
£70 for each room so...

140 DIVIDE 9 = 15.55 = £15.55

However, if cloud_vivi and his girlfriend are coming into the hotel mix, this raises some changes. It's not likely we could get away with 6 + 5 in a 2 person only room. (It's pushing it)So that would mean a THIRD room be booked (Which means 4 hotel rooms will be booked for this meet-up)

This will translate into THIS:
£70 for each room so...
£210 for 3 rooms.
11 people staying...

210 DIVIDE 11 = 19.09 = £19.09

However,(not to sound offensive) but zorander is booking hotel rooms Friday. (TODAY) so if you don't get in, you miss out cloud_vivi and if you want to stay, you'll have to book your own room. Soz but it has been up since Monday.
And we've delayed it for a week.

Anyway, whatever happens all cash, cheques and bank transfers will go to zorander. PM him if you need to use the latter two. Cash will be dealt between him & you.

Ehh...bad news. I've been rejected by those smurfs at Gamestation. Apparently, if someone from a different branch wants to work at a another branch (yeah, I was told this on the phone), they can do so because they're "already great". So, I've probably been rejected because of a member of staff from a different branch... If that's how they work, I'm glad they didn't give me the job. As far as I'm concerned, they can get their FIFA Street 2 and Crazy Frog Racer banners that they're showing, and shove 'em up their asses.

UK meet up in Birmingham Sat 15th April. You can stay in the Hotel if you want but if you're under 18 you'll need permision from your parents to stay the night. Hotel prices are roughly £15 per person but this may change as more people want to stay the night. You will need to PM either me or Jack if you're defo coming.


if i only need to pay £16 i will stay the night btw im 17 so it is a ok i do what i want it is ok me and my girlfriend will share a bed so also what this about the teams and how are we ment to meet up in the train station if i dont know any face we will have to figure somthing out kk

If you're staying in the hotel then you'll have to get permission from your parents if you're under 18. No arguments. And if you want to share a bed with your girlfriend, it might be a better idea to get a seperete room for you both. You've read most of the posts so you should know the rules.

Feeling in the mood to point something else out that makes the trip costs fairer to the group as a whole. If you do want a private room (like myself and Kitten) it is only fair that you pay for that room yourself, it's £70 or so I believe. The reason for you paying the full room fee is obviously because the rest of the people staying over are not sharing that room with you and your girlfriend. (and yes before people ask or anything I have stated quite clearly that I will be the one paying for mine and Kitten's room. Zorrander check your e-mail and you will see one from me)

And I am supposed to be sorting out getting the train with Phantom XD so I must put his question down to him being drunk? He doesn't live (that) far away from me and said he could get to Salisbury train station (where I'm going from) in time (I'm getting the 6.45 am to get there at 9.45 - yes I wanna try and get there before everyone else). He did mention something about driving to get there, I assumed he drove himself (is he over 18), didnt think he meant having to get a taxi that far.

PhantomXD, if you dont drive, can you get the train to Salisbury that early? If you find a train station of decent size that is near you (not a tiddily village one) they normally have very early trains.

Ok, well the Holiday inn didn't have any rooms for the night. Neither did alot of other hotels (at least, none i'm going to bother spending money on) But thankfully, The one we went to last time, Britannia hotel, has rooms, AND they have lowered their prices. Last time i looked it was about £111 per room, NOW it's more like £49 for a doubble, single or twin. I rung them and asked about it, they said it's cheeper to book online as i'm doing, and they say they have tripple rooms available, even though i can't see em' on the screen. So, i'm going to call em' tomorrow and see if i can get a deal on tripple rooms, unless we want to cheat like we did last year and have some people sleeping on the floor (this will also make things a bit cheeper.
Kitten, Lasuria, you'r room will be a doubble, that's ONe big bed for the two of you unless you say otherwise, and it'll be £49. I could book either 2 twin rooms and have 3 people on the floor, or i could book 3 twin rooms and have 1 person on the floor, but then again, my friend may not come so aither way is fine. I can book three twin rooms so we all get a bed, BUT it'll then cost us £25 each. If you want it cheeper, two twin rooms, with a coupple of people on the floor/sleeping bags, it'll be £16 each. It's up to you. I'm happy to give up a bed and sleep on the floor if it means i save £9.

So, i'm calling them tomorrow to see about 2 tripple rooms and a doubble, a tripple being cheaper than 2 twins...

Then i'll book on Monday.

PM me personaly if you have any objections or if you're happy to crash on the floor, as well as posting it here. We're almost done with this thing!

It's like under 18 people playing GTA. If I let my son play it, and his friend comes around and plays it then I take responsibility for that kid. It's not against the law, but it CAN annoy their legal guardians. Which I'm trying not to do.

-If you ARE 17 and you wish to stay the night in Birmingham, then we (as meet-up organisers) DEMAND that you inform your parents of your intentions BEFORE. As well as this, we say that when appropiate (if possible) you CALL your parents/guardians during the meet-up to confirm this. Because you are not legally responsible for yourself, we must make sure that those who are allow your prescence here. I understand that in some cases you would rather they did not know you were out. That's okay. Just say you're out with some friends (I did). They may have to talk with one of us, just to be sure you're not just saying.

Sorry about that. I was just pre-empting their descision. However, I forgot to take this in context with my outburst. We don't know if they're allowed to come, taken they need permission (BOTH OF THEM) so I don't think you should book a room fro them. We'll be left with a spare room which adds unesccary cost for others. So I think you should just book the rooms for the group and the room for Lasuria & kitten. If they are ALLOWED to come, they can sort it out themselves. I'm sure we could buy the room, but they'll have to sort it out through you. And even if they don't want a seperate, they'll still need a new room cause:

I'll probably be there around 10, although I'm not going to book my ticket now, 'cause I only live 20-25 mins on a train away from Birmingham. We need an offical parental consent form for the n00blet's. It should proably contain all the legal claues the will cover us, the participants and parents signuture.

You see, in my absence I've been busy. I made a professional form for those to fill out. I did it in my Free Period at College. So if I fail my exams I'll blame you. And you. It's attached to this post.

This is the one we'll accept cause it sorts out all the relevent details. While the original was okay, this one also covers the deal with the legal responsibility or being guardians (We're not their guardians), Alcohol (Nothing to do with us) and Hotel (Financial).

Plus, it took me a while and it looks kinda pretty. If anyone finds a fault with it, could you please point it out to me. I'm e-mailing all those that'll require it who may be attending. Sorry about my delay.

Since there is several mentions of past events, I thought It'll be best to mention several factors relevent to the UK Meet-ups and traditions we adhere to. Since the first EVER EoFF Meet up in Mills, USA, several things have filtered through into our meet-ups and some are our own. Although I understand that this one will be different than last time, with the large number of New people, I thought it'll be best if I tell of some stuff to expect somewhere...everything else is unplanned and fun.
Like a meet-up should be.

TEKKEN FIGHTS

I will win our bi-annual Tekken contest by default

For those not in the know, boris no no & Psychotic have engaged in Tekken battles at both the meet-ups taken place in the UK. I think result is 1 a-piece. (Who won where? (Too many W's) :) )
However, all are allowed to take part in this competition. I think I won against someone... was it Psy? I remember he hated me cause I play as Hworang (I did Tae Kwon-Do when I was younger so I like him cause he's a practitioner of that paticular martial art) and he can't cope with it... Or am I mistaken?

Basically, if you're coming you MUST compete (It's a tradition) so practise and kick his sorry ass. (And YES, his ass is in a sorry state after what he got up to last night... ;) )

Sadly, I'll probably get kicked cause I've been brushing up on my Soul Calibur 2 + 3 rather than my Tekken...

This is a EoFF tradition taking place in meet-ups. This began in Mills (all that time ago) and we had our own take on it in Birmingham last year. We spelt out BoB sux. (Check out the photos in the album).
I think we also insulted Rainecloud & Joel on a T-Shirt that's still in my room...

Who will suffer this year? On the table is boris (Noooooo. I like her!). Of course, nothing TOO offensive and it's all tongue-in-cheek (I've been told)

CAMERAS
Not a tradition, but rather a request... This time, could you ALL bring some form of camera (Preferbly NON-MOBILE PHONE RELATED) so this time we have smurfing loads of photos. I feel that was apparant about the Manchester meet-up. It would really help if it's digital and if it's not, get it digitalised! (Most places offer CD options). This will allow plenty of sharing.

Sooooo...If you don't bring one, I will pound on you till you go into Boots and buy a disposable. :D

However, I do not suck at FPS's. and I shall be bringing some 2-player ones to the meet-up. Aswell as a camera. :D

I was thinking about describing the sex act known as "The Chinese Sex Swing" and adding as many penis jokes as possible. I was also going to draw (using MS Paint) what I'm gonna do to all you kerazy kids(involves some ideas you'll see in Hostel when you see it...) and how they'll never see their children again. Then I realised that I was trying to portray it as a proper meet-up because that would probably make your parent more willing to sign it and also I was trying to look mature. This is. :) Russielloyd, I wouldn't worry. Just embrace all that happens and take the rough with the smooth. I don't paticularly think Tekken is the best (Soul Calibur IS) but I'll play. Plus it's tradition. It's a bit like Xmas. We all enjoy the dinner & presents but who really enjoys them when all the fun has disapated and you're left watching what's on TV? (Unless it's Doctor Who) It's part of the experience. Plus, bring you're own games and you may never know, we can play something you'd kick us at.

He came into the mix about Tekken 3. He's the protege of Baek Doo San (Never played Tekken so I don't know if he's there, but he's in Tekken 2) who was the other Tae Kwon Do artist in the series. As I remember it, he (instead) of getting Baek's killer, he went Street Hustling. However, he once had a fight with Jin Kazama and had a draw. So he wanted to get back at him in Tekken 3. Then he joined the army or something... *cares too much* (Tekken plot is crap isn't it?)
He's got Ginger Hair and long legs. Kicks a lot. With his long reach and easy combos, he's seen as the easy character.

Curses, I have no shiny digital camera, nor am I likely to get one before the meet-up. No I'll just be bringing cheapo disposable one. It's odd but my family's just never been that into taking pictures. Well, we do but we've just never invested in a proper camera, we've just used dispoables for years.

I'm more or less in the middle, well, less than more actually, Pererborough is in the East of England, not too far from london (only about 100 miles) So if we wait till late summer, how about a London meetup? There are plenty of places there, and since it's the capital, everyone can get there. Personaly, I'm happy to travel to any part of the UK for a meetup, just as long as i have the funds and time to go.

So if we wait till late summer, how about a London meetup?
I was actually considering such a thing. This is mainly because my expected plans involving Reading Festival have been scuppered by relying on someone else buying tickets. So I have large spaces in my summer for fun and games. I'd be up for it and (if people liked the organisastion for this one) I'd be happy to sort it out again.
But it's far too early to start now. Let's see if this one pans out all right.

Well, I'm still going! YAH! But I have one slight problem. I've not been very well recently and I've had all my treatment and am on the mend but I have no energy at all. All pooped out sooooooooooo I think it's best if I only come during the day and go home for the evening. I'm really sorry about posting this the day before. But I'll stay as long as I can. Prob till everyone starts getting drunk! My last train leaves late so I might stay till around 8/9pm ish.
I'm not alowed to be drinking any alcholic stuffs cos I'm on antibiotics.
