i mean,a simple google search for final fantasy faqs would always produce a search result from gamefaqs in the first few pages.

and oh yeah,the entire process to get the gold chocobo is VERY long,so i would suggest you go look it up in an faq.and no,you have not tried everything yet.to make it simple,find the chocographs and chocograph pieces in the forest and lagoon and find all the chocograph treasures.if your chocobo is not gold after you find all those,then your game is glitched.go find another copy.

It's not long. It costs a few quid/dollars/euros whatever the hell you use, go down to a DIY shop and buy a can of gold spray paint. Make sure the chocobo and yourself can breathe easily with all the paint gas, and spray away!

Gold choco can be obtained easily by just:
Go to chocobo forest located near gizamaluke grotto and talk with mene. he ask you to use gysahl green at chocobo mark in world map. after getting chocobo enter chocobo forest (you can enter with the chocobo). do chocobo hot and cold game to get chocograph. search all over the world for the treasure. then your chocobo will turn blue and mene will ask you to go to chocobo lagoon which is southwest of world map (near daguerreo). search chocograph until yours chocobo change dark blue. on 20th chocograph called ocean, after you found the treasure, it will redirect you to chocobo dream world to become gold chocobo. then have tidus cast hastega or do Blitzace, squall and cloud do lionheart and omnislash, yuna fire trigger happy........................... err....sorry a big mumbling. you can find other treasure such as ragnarok and fight ozma at chocobo air garden. simply search shadow on world map to find it them use dead pepper. you can also open chocobo paradise and moogle central

Collect the chocographs at the Forest and lagoon, If you sat down with the game for a good 4 hours then you could get the Gold chocobo easy, its not hard at all....
