hi, i was just wondering how and where do you get the materia holy? the is my second time playing the game, i got it the first time but can't remember how or where to get it, can anyone help me?

you cannot obtain holy in the game... its only purpose is for the plot

You need it to revive Aeris. Dig at the excavation site.

im pretty sure that u can get it. i got it the first time that i played the game,it takes about 90 - 100MP. also when u use 'sense' on a fiend it sometimes says that it weak against holy.

Fiend? are you sure your not talking about FF10 or 10-2?

There is no Holy materia in FFVII. The only Holy elemental spell is the Alexander summon.

I think that this thread'll be closed soon... But to keep it open a while longer I'll claim my ignorance to the one thing I never got on the game... I'm serious, the only thing I haven't got. Here goes...
How do you get Alexander?

okay you need to find the hot spring in the great glaicier and then find a blue person in a cave and touch them. After you defeat them you can pick up alexander

:mog: ive played this game at least 5 times through, 99'ed, with kotr, and 4 of each materia, and im embarrased to admit that even tho i know exactly where to get alexander, i never have, i always touch the hotspring...and just as i find the old womans cave, i pass out. Has neone else encountered this problem, ive decided that my game is just flawed.:mog:

You can find Snow at any point in the game after you have touched the springs. If you keep passing out then exit Holzoff's hut, return to the snowfield area and head due east. You should find her in a cave in that area.

phoenix downs kill undead as well (I believe. Could be wrong though havent played in a bit. I think I killed that demon wall you fight under cosmo canyon with 1 phoenix down)

Alexander is the only magic that deals Holy damage. It damages enemies regardless of whether they are undead or not.

Demon's Wall is the boss you fight at the ancient temple, the undead boss at cosmo canyon is Gi Nattak.

there is definatly no Holy Materia as its not in the master magic materia. That being said I have heard that they did plan to include holy but decided against it for some unknown reason

*shrug*, they COULD have thrown in 'Black Materia' which lets you use Meteor, and 'White Materia' that lets you use Holy.. however considerin those two spells were in conflict and determining the fate of the entire world, I guess they were deemed too powerful, at least from a story point of view

ya, i remember trying to search for Holy Materia also, because I did sense on the ghost ship and it said ti was weak against Holy. But I soon firgured out that they mean Alexander.
