Is it limits and limit breaks. The spell aura causes limits to occur frequently and I know I was using the spell alot in the latter stages of the game. Some of my friends would use limits constantly and would freak out at just how much damage they could do.

It turns out Edea doesn't help him, instead she kills him and steals his role as the main villain.
