Im up to the cave of trials in FF4A, and my Cecil and Kain are both level 67. I noticed throughout the whole game that Kain's jump takes longer to do than the SNES or PSX version of the game, and also even does less damage. It hardly does more than his regular attack, and doesnt attack more than Cecil can. It also takes pretty long. Did they make his Jump weaker for this version of the game? I loaded up my files from the other 2 versions and noticed its a lot more effective in those games. Oh, and the weapons I have equiped on Kain and Cecil are Holy Lance and Ragnarok.

Jump does take longer to activate in this version, but I don't feel it's weaker though

It should take twice as long to do 1.5x damage.

Jump's main usefulness comes from the fact that while Kain's average damage is reduced the fact that he's out of battle makes him invinicible for a short time (techincally speaking). Case in point : Lunar Bahamut. Near impossible to beat without smart use of the Jump command.

For that battle I just used Lunar Curtains

Kains jump might be weaker but it can save your butt like if you battle Zeromus and he does the Big bang thingy you can jump after he does it and you will have jumped before he does it again.

By the way I have Kain lv.82 and Cecil lv.83

If you played the other versions other than the gameboy one your missing out on Kain, Yang, Edward, and Edge. In the game boy version you can get the 50 floor dungeon after you beat the game and once you beat Kain, Yang, Edward, and Edge lunar bosses each character gets a new ability that replaces the old one for example:Edge gains the ability to plunder instead of steal>once you equip the equipment the boss dropped.

Da point: Kain can double jump by equiping the dragoon gloves.yup

it's name is Zeromus EG. i made a thread called "wtf is zeromus eg" in the ffiv section...

it looks really cool, but is kinda a let-down as far as secret bosses go. i had more trouble with some of the lunar summons...

stay on top of the bahamut cave with the lunar whale and then go north to the northeasrtern part of the moon then you'll see a smiley face. I have the GBA version and I'm not sure if it will work on the PS2.

That's the Maoi statue, which has appeared in many ffs, the first being this one.

Funny, since when I was ten and played FFIIe all the time, I always thought that the Maoi had some sort of secret. :p And they put the secret dungeon below it :cat:

Not the lunar dungeon if thats what you meant> It's made out of a mountain and craters around the bottom and two at the top. TRY IT BY BEING AT TOP OF THE BAHAMUT CAVE AND FLY ONLY NORTH AND NOT TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT :rabite: :mario: :smash: :shoot:
