There aren't a whole lot of good ones. Maple is alright if you can stand killing one monster for long periods of time. And a rather silly community.
I've played tons of different free MMORPGs and really the only ones I ever settled on for any significant amount of time were Ferentus and Ragnarok.

Eh, I've played Maple Story, filled with a bunch of "^____^;;"'ers. The game was quite addictive in the beginning, but when you advance to the higher levels you have to spend an eternity bashing some damn hogs or mushrooms.

Lately I've been playing Guild Wars, it's free to play online(as it isn't really a typical MMORPG) and quite fun.

Free MMORPGs suck.

If you want quality, you have to pay for it, simple as that.

Then again, a lot of paid MMORPGs suck, so it's not really saying much.

The original PSO was good. Until hackers came around, that is. :p

I used to play Maple Story alot. Not anymore, though.

PSO isn't an MMORPG, and you had to buy the game in the first place, that's not "free".

Well, it was free after you paid for it. :p And I suppose it really isn't an MMORPG. :erm: I always mistake PSO's genre.

RuneScape is good, but it's boring as hell if you're a free player, as 99.9999% of the updates are reserved for members.

Most free MMOs are kinda crappy...but if i had to say one that held my interest for a little while was RO and their Guild Wars pvp castle raids.

Tibia (http://www.tibia.com) is free, although you have the option to upgrade your account. Probably not everyone's bag but it can be quite addictive.

The Fourth Coming has at least 1 free server(if memory serves).. and a bunch of partial free that you can only play during certian times of the week or the like. But even if you do pay for it is cheap.

Anyways T4C has been the only mmorpg that has held my interest for a large amount of time.

A list of the servers can be found here (http://www.t4cbible.com/server.html).

I tried that one a while ago. It was fun for a few minutes but was just too slow to be fun for a long time. And I mean slow by leveling, not computer lagging or something.

The levelling is actually faster than some other MMORPGs that I've played, if you know what you're doing. But I can see your point.
