Where and how do you get dragon skins in disk 1?

Hmm...I'm not sure if you can. Maybe the Training Center, that's the only place I can think of.

I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but it may be possible to get them off Anaconduars in the Dollet region when their level exceeds 30. It's also a rare-ish drop, IIRC.

EDIT: Just checked a few things, and you can win Dragon Skins from Anaconduars provided they are level 30 or higher. I'm not sure how rare they are, but not as rare as they could be due to the fact that they also drop Star Fragments.

Heh, I remember when I got Squalls ultimate weapon. I had played enough cards and refined so much junk and prepared so much, that when I defeated the Brothers in the Tomb, and got their cards, I refined the one that gives you 10 adamantites (only way to get this item this early in the game, that I know of). Ran back to town and made Lionheart :) So unfair, having his ultimate weapon in disc1

On the topic of Dragon Skins tho. I think in the forest where you can kill Wendigos (near galbadia gardens original location), you can, very rarely, find some small dragon/lizard kinda thing, that walks on 4 legs. They drop them I think, not sure on the level range and I've lost my guidebook long ago
