Single artist: Terry Bozzio

Bands: The Tea Party, Tool, Led Zeppelin, Rush, The Mars Volta, and A Perfect Circle.

At least I chose one for single artist. My brain can't handle just one though. I tried to pick just one once, and that lead to braining my damage. I don't need another stroke thank you very much.

Too many to pick just one, really, but the leaders would probably be Maiden, Sirenia, Xandria, My Dying Bride and Opeth.

First off I'd like to warn you that asking me such questions can prove dangerous to small attention spans. Secondly, I could never choose just one.

Composer wise, the absolute first on my list is Yuzo Koshiro, who is known for the Streets Of Rage series and other Sega Genesis games such as Revenge Of Shinobi. Tommy Tallarico and Nobuo Uematsu are also highly noteable.

As for bands *takes deep breath* (in no particular order):
Prodigy
The Crystal Method
Chemical Brothers
Massive Attack
Orbital
Swollen Members
Leftfield
Rob (aka. White) Zombie
KMFDM (aka. MDFMK)
Darude
Paul Oakenfold
Gigi D'agostino
Norman Bass
Mauro Picotto
Armando
Lil' Louis
Dj Pierre
Tiesto
Meat Katie

And that's to name a few. I'll leave it at that. If forced to choose just one, I'd say
Prodigy or Mauro Picotto.
