Ok im wondering, what is your fave retro rpg and why, for me it has to be Lufia 2, as it has so many decent things such as the no random encounters in the dungon's and the way you get speach bubbles instead of just text at the bottom of the screen also adds to it well thats mine what about yours?

Lufia 2 was awesome. Mine would either be chrono trigger, earthbound, breath of fire 2 or wild arms 2. Depending on which systems you think of as retro.

Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV. Is Chrono Cross retro?

Lufia 2 was really good (and the soundtrack was almost perfect), as well as Rudora no Hihou (SNES too).

It's more humor than anything. Just looking at it makes it look boring, but for some weird reason, it's fun and addictive. The battle system is similar to games such as the original Dragon Warrior. The story is ridiculous, but so weird it's hilarious. I suggest you play this one.

My favorite retro RPGs would be...

Dragon Warrior (the original! I still own it on my NES)
Final Fantasy 1, 3, 4, and 5
Earthbound

Secret of Mana.
FF6. I don't know if you would call it retro since I only played the one that came with FF Anthology.

They Barely Remade That Game, I Would Still Call It 'Retro'.
