Jobs for n00bs

OK so I'm kinda not liking Theif, as it seems to be a job that doesn't get much love from the party scene were I'm at or overall. So, what should I do? I REALLY don't want to start a new class although I have leveled up warrior a bit for later on. But it seems that I will be endlessly leveling jobs just to make theif worthwhile. or so my LS has told me. I HATE grinding well not hate but I disliek it xD I know I know it's part of the game. well what's a job that levels pretty easy? (except healers, I can't heal myself letalone others)

THF doesnt get alot of love until lvl 15 with Sneak Attack, othewise, i recommend leveling WAR up so when you do level THF you can provoke at the very least.

Black Mages get invites pretty quickly from what I've seen. But you've taken Thief to 14 haven't you? Like Brave Heart Lion said, once you get to 15, Thief really begins to pay off. I say stick with it, but it's your decision.

Mages get parties faster than most other jobs.

I say stick to THF, you don't have to be on every single day to enjoy the game and lvl grind that's how you burn yourself out. Just have fun with THF. Plus 30 THF is intense. I love THF. But like Lionx said it gets better 15+. That's when you become uber :D

alright I guess I'll stick woith it since I'm close to to the fun stuff, But I'm going to level warrior to 10 then maybe monk to 10? I was told monk is good to have with theif

Yeah. THF/WAR and THF/NIN are pretty good. Just wait until you get past level 30 (so you can see Sneak attack + trick attack + viper bite), and tell us if you are liking it more. ;D

My Friend is a ranger, he seems to get a few parties here and there.

I'm a RDM/WHM and the longest i've ever had to wait for a party has been 1/2 an hour ^_^
