Anyone else got this, Mine just came through the post :D
The game is great, I wonder why its getting so little attention.
The battles are better than ever, storys pretty cliche but I got into it very easily.
I still prefer the original, but this is a great improvement of Grandia II.
Im about 4 hours into the game (just reached Arcliff Temple )
I really recommend this game to anyone who wants a decent RPG at the moment.
This should keep me occupied a bit longer till FFXII.

I've been wanting it, but I can't afford it...
Is it as good as the origional? I'd ask if it was better than II or Xtreme, but those weren't the greatest games.

I prefer Grandia Overall, but theres still things that Grandia III does better than the original. The battle system is great, best out of the 4 games. The world is really good and has memorable areas, the graphics are great which helps the locations to look really fantastic.
Unfortunately, there isnt many locations to visit ( well, so far from where I am )
Story is worst of the three mind, which is a shame, not a terrible story, but not great. Theres not so many likeable characters. And in Grandia style, they all pop in and out of the story which is frustrating.
Still, Grandia III is great, Buy.

The worst story of them? That'd be hard, especially after Xtreme, which for all practical purposes, had none.

It's not a bad thing that you haven't played it. Then again, noting I've seen compares to the first.

I wish they would remake the first game
Grandia is great, but I hate seeing screen shots of it as the first game is pretty ugly, so someone would be put off a bit by the graphics.

Yeah, but if they re-did the first game, it would probably loose alot of it's colour and brightness. And I actually the simple graphics.

It was an odd graphic style they used with the game, I fairly neutral about it, didnt like it, didnt dislike it.

I dunno. I thought the graphics were kinda cute like that. ^^

But yeah, it has to have a better storyline than Xtreme, seings how that game had almost no plot. : ) More like a dungeon-crawl kinda game.

And the dungeons were not that great.

And annoying, since you had to go up the the surface and back into town to save. >>

Hmm, I really want to play this game. I've beaten Grandia and Grandia II, and don't ever plan on touching Grandia Xtreme. The name alone is dumb enough to keep me away from it. I think Grandia eclipses Grandia II, so I'd be looking for something that approached the original's fun level.

Yeah I have it.

I'm on Disc 2 now, the first disc took about 16 hours, and if the game is only 30-35 hours, well... it might dissapoint in the length department.

On top of that, no bonus bosses, dungeons or anything? Sad.

I like the story, and the characters are all pretty well designed. It's a bit too linear though, even the maps are linear. Very little to do outside of following the story, and maybe doing some side leveling/magic creation.

I love the system of course, as I always do with a Grandia title, and wish it had something to look forward to after that 35 hour mark.

Im at the beginning of the second disc with a 17 hour save file, Im at the Nautica Plateau now. I know what you mean by Linear, but Im still enjoying it...

I've been playing this the past few days. It seems a lot shorter to me than the other two main games in the series so far. I guess I might just be going by it a little too fast.

I beat it yesterday, ya Grandia III was pretty short, I beat it in 31 hours.
Xorn was pretty easy though...
