I was just thinking, have you've ever auditioned or thought about auditioning to American Idol? I would never even think about it, I'm just way too shy and I wouldn't make it through a song because of Paula's beauty.

No. If I could sing well enough to win, I would be out recording CDs instead of wasting time on a show.

I can't sing. Not even kinda. And no one has done me the disservice of telling me I can.

I'm thinking about auditioning next year. I miiiiiiight be able to, with incredible luck and lots of effort, get past the auditions into the Hollywood, but I would fail at Hollywood. But that's cool with me since I don't want to be on American Idol, I just want to know that I can sing and you know, get myself out there with singing. :)

But I'd probably be scared to death about being on TV. I wouldn't know what to sing. xD I'd probably sing something like "Killing Me Softly" by The Fugees.

I hate American Idol with a passion, so no. Of course, it's not like I have any singing talent anyway. But even if I did, the only reason I'd ever go on that show would be to somehow sabotage it.

Cartwheel in with giant eyebrows taped to your head rapping Without Spam in an insane speed, stop and wait for an akward silence, than run out of the room before they have a chance to talk. :)

I can't sing.

Which makes it all the more tempting. I'd be totally deadpan, play it straight, act like I thought I was awesome as I murdered some classic Sinatra or something, and then grin like an idiot until the judges stopped laughing at me. After which, I would argue with them, call them names, and so forth, and inform them that they have absolutely no capacity to recognize talent.

But yeah... I lost most of my respect for AI after Carrie Underwear beat Bo Bice. You think voting Bush in over Kerry was bad? This was a million times more of an indictment of democracy.

If I could be bothered and had enough time on my hands and was really bored, I might go in there and sabotage Aussie Idol, but I don't see that happening at all really :)

Nope. I can't sing very well, and don't feel like humiliating myself on national television.

This year is the only one that I'm really watching all of. I usually only watch the initial try-outs just becuase they're funnier than anything else on television. I did see a little bit near the end of last year though.

You should, though. You have an amazing singing voice! And even if you don't win, you will have experience what it's like to be a professional singer. It's all about getting some insight and experience. =)

We tried to convince Shanna (girl at school) to audition, because her singing is AWESOME.

She said she couldn't stand to stand in line for so long and then get ripped apart xD

We told her she sang too good to be derrided at all!

I would just walk in and stay silent with a blank look until I'm kicked out

I think it would be nice, if once they started to kick you out, you then started to do the can-can, whilst singing, old macdonald had a farm.

Naww, I can't sing anyway but I always watch it, Nick seems to really not care about it, it's the same with a lot of other guys I know. I guess it's more for the women and the men who actually likes to sing.

Thank you! :) I think I will try it.
