just a couple questions:

gray means exactly what? i remember it saying something to the extent that it shows your skills are growing old for that job. however, my hair turns gray like for half a battle and thats it...there seems to be no other effects. knowledge?

and the stats on the status tabs. I'm pretty sure it didnt say in the game manual, but what EXACTLY does vigor, speed (ATB speed i assume), stamina, and weight determine? i'm guessing vigor and/or stamina are related to HP/MP perhaps...but weight?

plz and thanks in advance.

I am certain weight relates to speed. Theoretically your speed stat should go down when your weight goes up. but your speed stat is your base speed stat and i guess weight related speed reductions are determined in battle.

When your character has been hit with an aging spell, their hair turns grey. For the rest of the battle, your speed, defense, attack power etc will all decrease. Esna doesn't cure it so in battles like with shinryu and neo x-death, it can have a huge impact on your party. You'll find your attacks gradually doing less and less damge, and there's /xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif/xxx.gif all you can do about it

Every 8 points of Equipment weights counts as -1 from your agility. The full formula is 120 - Agility + (Equipment Weight / 8), Min 1 Max 255. The amount the ATB bar starts at is equal to 255 - this value. The ATB bar increases as a constant rate and isn't affect by Haste/Slow, though these do double/halve the speed bonus respectively, meaning the bar has less/more to fill before reaching 255.

Old status decreases all your stats to 1. It doesn't affect your level, nor does it decrease over time, it's a straight reduction. For monsters it decrease their level and speed to 1. L2 Old ignores immunity to Aging.

Vigor (read Strength) affects your physical damage (it differs between weapons). Speed (read Agility) affects primarily the initial value that the ATB starts, the damage of Knives, Bells, Thrown Weapons, Chicken Knife, Bows, Whips. Stamina (read Vitality) affects the rate at which you gain HP when in Regen status and your maximum HP (base value only, not additional bonuses given by equipment).

Hope that helps.
