How do you rate Final Fantasy IX? I give it a 10/10, the graphics were great for it's time, the sounds and sounds effects were great. The battle style is perfect and the character design is great! What do you rate it?

FFIX was my fav ff of all time. If for nothing else, it was the characters. They were original and they weren't static. They had genuine personality and you could fall in love with them even if they weren't the main character. ex: Vivi...he's wonderful :)

FFIX ROCKS!:exdee: It was the first FF game I ever played (i saw my friends play VII and VIII before that but I played IX first). It was realy awesome and it got me hooked on FF so I love it! :D

I would give every Final Fantasy a 10/10 excluding FFIX, Crystal Chronicles and FF Tactics Advance, because I don't think they are as good as 10/10 but FFIX is a pretty decent game, nowhere as good as other FF's.

Its a nine, its a really good game, but theres just so much room for improvement and the horrible body shape of the characters irritates mwa to a certain degree

I give it a 9, It is the best of the PS1 Final Fantasy's, But it's not quite perfect. Freya and Aramant are interesting characters, but I just wonder if square ran out of development time and didnt have enough time to include side quests for them to be expanded on. Everyone else got sufficient chance to shine, but those two I found were very much under used.

as for the weird in-game character designs, I'll give the haters that point. I mean really, take a look at some of Amano's character sketches, and the in-game models just do not do them justice. Zidaine in the character sketch looks like quite the rouge, but still has that quintessential star quality. His in-game designs looks like a backstreet boy reject with a tail. It's not enough to ruin the game for me, or even drag the score down by another point as it really didnt bother me considering I started playing RPG's with Phantasy Star on the Sega Master System, but I do understand where people are coming from.

FFIX is definitely one of my all-time favorite games. I loved it from the very first beginning. The story is amazing and the characters are so loveable and definitely not out to save the world. I love the music just as much as I loved the music in FFVII and perhaps even more so. I can't stress often enough how highly underrated this game is -- a shame, really, since it's an amazingly thorough game.

Meh, it was PSOne game. Look what happened to the FF's once decent graphics came in. As soon as the PS2 graphics were out, that's what the focal point of the game. Whereas in the PSOne FF's the gameplay was important.

Most importantly however is the fact that FF9 KICKS THE OTHER FF'S ASS, SPITS ON IT AND GIVES IT TO A TRAMP! Slight exageration used to emphasise my love for FF9 :D

In my opinion it's a 10. I'm ignoring the in-game graphics because we all know they suck (though the backgrounds are truly awe-inspiring), and going on the great plot, script, characters and everything else that I haven't mentioned there.

10/10 for me as well - just restarted this - it's a true FF game, and everything about is very Fantasy based - so many different races, the Moogles are awesome as save points, the side games are addictive - I however, am terrified of the Friendly Monster music XD

10/10 because it kicks all the other games butts. Still haven't finished it yet though... And I should get FFVI sometimes, the only one that's on PS that I haven't atleast tried. The graphics seemed bad to me, but of course I played FF10, 10-2 and 11 before it. I'm to used to superior PS2 graphics, not superior PS1 graphics.

It was the first one i beat. I started ff7 when i was in third grade and FF8 but i beat FF9 during my summer after 5th grade then i went on to beat FF 8,7 and tactics in the same summer.

Zidane: The story is all that matters.

-storyline: pretty good, but not the best in the series. fairly predictable.
-Characters: Extremely well done. Best character relationships and interactions in the
entire series.
-graphics and sounds: detailed graphics and pretty darn good sound.
-music: beautiful score. one of Nomura's best works.
-gameplay and mechanics: easy to follow and exciting gameplay. simple advancement system. equipping items to learn abilities worked well.

I gave in a 9. X-Play would probably have given it a 5 out of 5.
