It's pretty freaking awesome. By Brewer and Shipley for anything curious.

The title of the song was pretty fitting for me when I saw the film on the big screen a couple months ago. It was amazing.

The Returner, the only way i can describe this movie is that its like the Matrix only with time machines, aliens, takes place in Japan, all the actors are Japanese, and it turned out to be a decent movie (unlike the Matrix series).

I have only seen Goodfellas twice, but it is embedded in my head, specially the start with Joe Pesci (sp) stabbing that guy in the carboot :( I cant watch it on TV cause its long anyway, but its irrating with ads thrown in, same with the Godfather. Rather watch them at festivals or on DVD.

Master Quan
03-20-2006, 11:07 PM

I think it was clear from the outset that I praise Goodfellas very highly.

~SapphireStar~

I know what you mean, it kills the mood.
Totally does. Youve just been left on a gorey scene and suddnely an ad for air freshener or accident claims pops up! Piss off! Allow me to enjoy my movie in peace! Pity the BBC wont show gangster movies, no ads there, but they probably see gangster films as uneducational.

Master Quan
03-20-2006, 11:12 PM
It's a shame really. I generally take the attitude that, if I see an advert for a product in the middle of a movie, I will go out of my way NOT to buy that product.

It's a little sad, but I feel better because of it.

Pride & Prejudice (the recent version with Keira Knightley)

I had at first refused to watch this version of P&P because I adore the BBC version of it and I was convinced that this one wouldn't do the book justice.

But. It was incredible. I loved every minute of it. I liked it even more than the BBC version and I never thought I would ever say that. Seriously, it was a great movie.
