Ok so two of the best bands ever here, which one do you like the best and why?

I like Blur way more simply because I think everything about them is great, don't get me wrong Oasis are great also.

Oasis for me. Their newer stuff isn't as good as their older stuff, but other than Song #2, none of Blur's songs really stood out to me.

While Oasis made some great music, and probably have the better individual songs, their post-Morning Glory albums were pale imitations of their sublime early work. Blur, on the other hand, kept experimenting with their music, and as a result their back catalogue stands up much better to repeated listens. Even individual albums (Parklife in particular) show a diversity that simply isn't present in Oasis' music.

Ten years back I liked Blur way more but during the early 2000's I began to appreciate Oasis a little more. Both real good bands

Oasis knock Blur out cold, Oasis made some quality tunes, everyone remembers them, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova, Live Forever and the list goes on. What Tunes can you say Blur have done that can top those, None. Also, Oasis are brilliant in Concert, I havent been to a Blur concert, but I find it hard that they could top Oasis's performances.

Dreddz: While Oasis are one of the greatest band of all time, all of their songs start to sound the same - and that's not even counting what happened after they starting abusing drugs.

Having songs that everyone remembers isn't necessarily a good thing. Think...Wannabe, The Macarena, Crazy Frog, etc. In any case, they're usually referred to as "singles", such as Girls & Boys, Parklife, Country House, Tender, Beetlebum, etc.

Anyway, the official war was over eleven years ago.

Since then, Oasis have made a "comeback", and Blur have split into 3/4 Blur, Graham Coxon, and I suppose Gorillaz, with each of the three becoming even more experimental over the years with varying degrees of success.

Oasis is one of the most overrated bands ever, which is not to say they suck so much as just that they are only pretty good. Blur is better.

Liam and Noel have the best one-liners, though.

Like when Noel referred to Chris Martin as "A Fucking Pot Plant" xD

I like both. Oasis do epic better, Wonderwall, Whatever, Some Might Say, Champagne Supernova, I could go on. They write anthems. Blur are more varied, however, and have a crapload of interesting and good music. So yeah, I like them both.

Oasis. I never really got into blur at all.

Blur, definitely. Oasis made a couple of decent, if rather unoriginal, albums and haven't done anything since. Blur push the boundaries more. I like their diversity, although it's a pity that Graham Coxon left.

Actually, screw what I said about Blur irritating me. I've been listening to them for the last couple of days and I'm getting into them more. :D I still prefer Oasis, though. I think they're just easier to listen to.

im not especially keen on either of them, but Oasis have more songs that i do like compared to Blur, the only 2 songs i like by Blur are "Song2" and "Coffee and TV" whereas Oasis have 5 or so decent songs.

I cannot say because I don't know which songs belong to which. I don't really pay attention to who the artist is when I hear a song.

Oasis. Blur are just plain wimpy, Oasis are northern and represent!

I agree with Bert. Although I haven't heard too much from either band, I've enjoyed Oasis more than I have Blur.

I've heard nothing that I know of from Blur, and one album from Oasis. I liked the Oasis album, so I guess I prefer them. :p
