Anyone ? I hear the phrase used occassionally to denote a particular genre of music - I think it's rap, but nobody told me what it actually is like.

Music that has Techno, Jump, Hip-Hop and a little mix of R&B beats mix into it and done!

Correct me if I'm wrong though. I'm not sure myself.

Music like Presidential, I SMoke I Drank are Crunk music.

I know it because I like Crunk music myself.

Its a southern style of rap music, its very uptempo, you will hear it alot in clubs, crunk itself means to like "get hype". Lil John and the Eastside Boyz, Dem Franchize Boyz, David Banner, Crime Mob, are a few of the acts associated with it. If your interested I suggest seeing the movie Hustle and Flow.

Yeah, he's being very self-deprecating with the use of the slang " lil" before his name. You'd think being such a superstar he would change it to " Big " or " Moderately Sized. " .... Moderately Sized Jon hahahahahaha.

It's a kind of R&B that I think Lil' John came up with? Artists as Ciara and Usher have also been a part of making it popular.

crunk is defionitly the best party hip hop music. lil jons 'get low' and ying yang twins 'shake' would be my favourites and good examples of what its like.

I can say the same for the guy who does the voice for Tony the Tiger. He's made a lot of money just by saying "Grrrrrrreat!"

People who listen to rap tend to like him more for his work as a producer. His beats are always good and most people in the industry have at least done a collaberation with him. I like Manne Fresh and Mike Jones beats better though

Mike Jones doesnt make his own beats.
Its Mannie Fresh not Manne Fresh.
And Westside style rap is much better

I didn't like that guy.he was really into bob marley, so he grew locks, maybe thats how there was complications, he's from atlanta.

yeah, he is a great producer, although he has had really banging beats, i think his best one was for ameries 'touch', it was really cool(if only sung by another:mad: )

Chamillionaire is alright, I like his song "Im a Bad Man". My favorite Crunk song of all-time would have to be "Bia Bia" by the Eastside Boyz.

To be honest, I don't care about crunk music. I was just affected with mild curiosity enough to ask what people define as " crunk".

Hmm. I don't think it's music AT ALL. Try unorganized noise.

Of course it is. It takes something called 'talent'. Look it up sometime.

damn you all need to calm the fuck down. It's music not everyone likes he same music. So stop arguing over it no one type is better then any other type. It's all in the person. I don't like "crunk" music as I dislike most southern rap.

Watch the movie Hustle and Flow, not saying its on the level of talent that Jimi Hendrix playing the guitar upside down is, but you cant just be any geek off the street, you gotta know your beats, rhythms, bars, and all that good stuff.
