Ok so im using RPG Maker XP and I can't think of any good names for my game, if you manage to tell me a good one I will put the credit for the title on you. Thanks in advance.

Ah, thinking of a title for games. I have trouble with that too. What's it about? It might help people think of a good title.

Yeah whats your story going to be about? Thats usually a good start for thinking of a title. When Im writing stories, titles are usually left till last cause you can step back and see what you have created so far and see if that helps.

Unfortunately, RPG Maker forces you to put in the title first thing.

Well think of the story first, then go and add the title to the game later.

Or just copy and paste everything you did in that file into a new folder after you come up with the name.

In the other RPG makers you can edit the title whenever you want. I don't know about XP though. In the other Makers you can close the game then open it again and choose rename. You can rename the folder and the title.

It would be simple for me, because I would base it off of one of my books. Let me ask what the story is about and is RPG Maker good with it's functions? Do you get turned based battles, with multiple characters in your party that you make yourself?

Just name it after your favorite brand of lemonade (http://www.kraftfoods.com/crystallight/).

Are you making fun of me and Nick?

Are you making fun of me and Nick?
I just now realized you and Nick share screen names.

And since when can you rename your game? I sure as hell can't figure out how.

How about something where you can hace sequels but not have the same characters if its good. Like Final Fantasy. How about Fantasy Legends? Thats all I can think of at the mo.

This is a story about a girl named Lucky, and how she lost it in the streets of New York.

or TIASAAGNLAHSLIITSONY for short.

It would help to know the basic concept of your game. In the game making world its best to avoid the name "fantasy"

kousei, sosei, umarekawari, shinsei, renacimiento, возрождение,rinascita, megújhodás, újjászületés.

by the way... the word I am talking about is Rebirth... o_0

ps: apart from fantasy it is also wise to avoid Azure, donno why though.

Fantasy games are the only good ones, and the only ones worth making. What else is supposed to make? A football game? A fighting game? I say go with fantasy, and something where you can have sequels and not use the same characters, like Final Fantasy.

I don't think it's a good idea to ask for a title for your game in a forum.
You need to think about it by yourself, since you're the creator and all, you're the one that knows the story and basically the game itself.
Think of something metaphoric, something with a message, or have a special meaning to it.
It takes some time to think about a title, take your time, do it in the end.

Think what you want it to be and base it on what the game is. think man think. the other guy who said only fantasy games are good a disagree. fantasy's are my number one favorite followed by adventure and fighting(street fighter rocks(first fighting game i ever played followed by mortal combat) IT ALSO depends on the game duh.

Sorry if i drifted of the main subject:choc: :moomba:

I wrote a story (not the same as a game I know) but it was pretty much based on a mixture of final fantasies. I called it Diamond Apocolypse. It had nothing to do with either of the words but I just thought it was different. :)

There are awesome non-fantasy ones. Sci-Fi make good RPG settings too (heart Xenogears). But honestly I'm not sure if RPG-maker would support that out of the box. Probably gotta find some decent chip-sets or whatever they're called.

Or make your own if you're awesome like that.

RPG creators are usually the creative ones,so,open up your brain and think deeper into it.

RPG Maker does have "futuristic" chip-sets, but not to the variety as the other chips.

And...you must put a cat in your RPG. At least a kitty NPC! :cat: (If '03 has the cat sprite still.)
