I actually met a girl in Duluth Minnesota who had Selphie's hair style, except it was light brown and it had blond streaks, in it I'm not lying or joking I really did meet a girl who had hair like that.

The title of this thread should have been more specific because it sounded like it should go in the General Final Fantasy forum page. nyways, that is pretty weird. I have met(actually I saw him) someone who had hair sort of like squalls.

I had Selphie hair in college although I didnt intend for it to happen.

I don't know how hair could be like Selphie's exctly. Before I got FF8, my hair was at the same length as Selphie's and it had this outward curl at the tip which made people call me Selphie. Though my hair is black. In my opinion, that's as close to Selphie hair one can get "naturally" (as in without using hair-spiking/hair spray products).

I used to have hair like Selphie's when I was about 11/12. But I didn't even know who Selphie was when I first started doing it, it wasn't her who inspired me. Basically my mother cut my hair into an ugly bob, an there was not much I could do with it.

Whoa. That's not true. Check out 'Glay' in your free time; the bassist has funky hair-dos but the band rocks! Actually, I've seen lotsa people with the Squall, Zell, Seifer, Quistis hair-styles on the streets; don't find that much of a big deal, really. :|

I accidently got my hair like Selphies once. I was aiming for my usual style (like Yuna in X-2) and it all went downhill from there.

Yeah, you definately might want to move this to General Final Fantasy. I have met someone who had Selphie's hair as well but it wasn't the same color. It was a bit darker. My hair tends to stand up like Wakka's without any hair gel or anything. It's scary...also I've seen Quistis and Auron.

I find nothing amazing about someone having Selphie's hair cut/do. Something that would be worth a conversation would be someone having Cloud's, or another character with insanely spiked stuff. Honestly, half the haircuts from the Final Fantasy series are perfectly normal and manageable. Would you be astonished if I said my sister has hair like Rinoa, but has never played FFVIII? Or, if my brother had Zell's hairdo a year ago? No, and I don't think Selphie's hairdo is that spectacular either.

(And yes, nik, I believe it was popular way back when.)

I don't think it's all that uncommon for girls to have Selphie's hairstyle. Flip like that comes pretty naturally, if you have it at the right length.

Rinoas hair is just straight black hair with a tiny bit of brown. Anyone could beat it cause its such a common hair style, my cousin has it and shes never played or seen FF8. So anyone can beat your hairstyle.
