What's the best price you've ever gotton a good game for? What was that game? Sure, we always find dodgy 1/10 rated games in the bargain bin but every so often we also come across a gem, something that makes you think "Wow, it's awesome AND cheap!"

Today, I found Killzone for $19.95 (Aust). I NEVER play FPS but I made an exception in this case. Not only was it at a pretty good price, but it's also been backed up by some pretty decent reviews.

I paid... I think it was 10 bucks... for a used copy of Vandal Hearts, which isnt very popular but I thought it was an amazing game and I very much enjoyed it.

Half Life 2 for 14.99
Warcraft 3 for 12.99

I got more out of them than virtually any game I've paid full price for. Also, HL2 included CS, which continues to entertain me on an almost daily basis.

Best bargain find? About five years ago: ex-rental Vagrant Story for $6.95. I was happy. Just recently bought Kingdom Hearts for $28.99, and a couple of years back I picked up FF Anthology for $24.95. Mind you, these prices are all in NZ$, so that's quite a bit less money than the same number of US$.

Suikoden - (2002) $10.
Suikoden II - (2002) $30

Arc the Lad Collection (factory sealed - 2003) $20
Front Mission 3 (factory sealed - 2005) $12

However, none of these compare to the best and most unexpected find ever.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Factory sealed, non greatest hits - 2001) In the bargain video games bin at Quality Markets (local grocery store) for FIVE DAMN DOLLARS.

I got Ico for $7. But that's probably just reasonable. Hmm.. They had Phoenix Wright Ace Attourney for $7 last month. But like an idiot I didn't grab it and now it's gone. So I'll have to pay next-best price. But they're out of stock for a while. Oh wells. I'll have to wait to join that bandwagon.
