and if the aeon was already at full overdrive you can use two overdrives in a row.

It summons an Aeon at full overdrive. As boysfromthedwarf already said, it means you can use it twice in a row. (uber useful, especially if you intend to overkill bosses for extra AP). For the rest of the attacks, it does no benefit.

To use an overdrive, while on an Aeon's choice selection screen, if there's a small bar that says "Overdrive", then press left on your directional pad, and it'll let you use the Aeon's overdrive, which unleashes a powerful attack.

The only Aeon that DOES NOT have an overdrive is Yojimbo, but when his Overdrive bar is full, the next attack he unleashes is an attack that hits ALL enemies onscreen, not just one, which Daigoro, Kozuka, and Wakisashi happen to do. Zanmato ALWAYS affects all enemies on screen. (Although, to be honest, I've never seen him use any other attack besides Wakisashi and Kozuka while the overdrive is full)

Yojimbo's overdrive also makes him more likely to use Zanamto.
