Where would we be without FF?

If you just sit back and think about it....What would you do without final fantasy? What would you be doing now? What else would you be talking about? My PS2 will have been coated in cob-webs without it really.... I wish square enix gave out rewards for refering people to final fantasy!! Have you made any FF fans?

Anyways, I probably wouldn't be playing RPG's. I might not have bought Diablo, GW, and I certainly wouldn't know most of the kick-ass people here. But I'd probably still be a Pirate. Just not a Red Mage one.

HA!!! :kaolaugh: Actually, that's not really funny 'cause I'd probably be in bad shape too. :D It's kinda hard to imagine my life with no Final Fantasy. (Kingdom Hearts too!!! :grinpink:) ESPECIALLY NO FFVIII!!! :eek: :kaocry:

1st off: I'd probably be bored as hell, 'cause I always replay the games, make sigs, avatars, art projects & videos with the scenes from the games, and I ALWAYS listen to the FF music!!! :D

2nd: I guess I would have A LOT more money...I probably have spent over $300 on FF stuff, and I'm still spending!!! :D I don't mind though, 'cause it's stuff I REALLY like!!! :kaohappy2

3rd: I'm REALLY more into Japanese and Anime stuff, such as J-Pop music like Utada Hikaru & Gackt!!! :kaohappy2 I also might like different things and maybe think differently on certain topics.

4th: I would probably have a different hair style. (yes...big deal for me :D )

5th: I would most likely be playing Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, which are both GREAT games but I really like RPGs too, and FF & KH has introduced me to a different genre of games that are AWESOME!!!:kaohappy2

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THIS!!! :kaohappy2 I incorporate FF & KH to TONS of things I do!!! Whether it's school related, work related, or just for fun!!! :grinpink: It makes school/work things more fun 'cause I can put something I love into it. :kaolove2: I have a deep passion for Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts games, and without that passion I wouldn't be able to have any emotion with the things I do with these games.

Hmm..I would probably be extremely depressed, seeing how I love FF and FF8 especially. I couldn't write any Fanfictions on FF8, I couldn't read FF fanfictions, I would be insanely bored, I wouldn't be a die-hard RPG fan, I wouldn't have my favorite music, and I never would have heard of eBay.

Yes. I made a friend of mine one about a year ago. Actually, I gave him a rather bad first example (X-2). Nevertheless, he fell in love with it (and Paine...0_o), and I introduced him to the bigger and better ones.

I look at it this way. No FF would have meant Square going bankrupt. Square going bankrupt means not only no FF, but we wouldn't have seen games like Chrono Trigger/Cross, Xenogears, Vagrant Story, and a lot of others (Einhander baby :D). Not only that, but I think it would be safe to say Japanese style RPG's might not have cracked the North American market at all, since it was really all the FF titles leading up to and most especially FFVII (overrated or not) that really made RPG's popular over here. Regardless of whether you think FF is the greatest thing since sliced bread or not, the impact the series has had on gaming is a little difficult to ignore.

We certainly wouldn't miss it had there never been FF. We just wouldn't know better obviously, but many of us might not be RPG fans, or at the very least would have missed out on a lot of other great titles that came as a result of Square's continued existence. I'm also not sure we'd have ever seen a game that would have the effect that FFVII did on gamers in general. Very likely, RPG's would still be an oft overlooked genre.

Plus we wouldn't have had Uematsu's amazing soundtracks for our ears to enjoy, and that would be one of the most unfortunate things of all.
