Heavily inspired by those silly vector designs at such fine establishments such as Threadless.com etc.

(and the song Kaye by jupiter sunrise)

done in pencils, colorized in psp to emulate the look it'll hopefully have after I dip it in clothing dye this evening. Actually dyed now.

oh...well, purple is a cool colour (pokes sig), so you need to do what you can to get it!

As you can see, I did a poor job of faking the dyed look. at least there's no spots of white on it like on one of the test sheets.

It's wonderful rubah, you did a great job with the face. Is there any way to see this piece without the pseudo dye-job?

It's real nowxD

The placeholding one I had up before was http://www.snowy-day.net/stuff/are%20you%20even%20real.png without a one.

I really enjoy both images, rubes. Great job. I like how the colors invert as the hair and stars overlap and those butterflies are nicely detailed. I must say that I like the former version moreso, as the contrast is just so jarring in the latter one. I don't think that the purple and white works out as well as greyscaled version could have. Also, it seems that you've crammed lots of objects in the upper righthand corner and leave a lot out under the last heart and between the stars. It's cluttering up small spaces and leaving gaps in the flow, it seems. It is interesting to note that the girl's face is given so much attention and shading whilst the rest of the image suffers from a mostly two-tone touch.

I appreciate real contributions to this forum, and not all this "signature" drivel. <3

lynxie, the one posted above is the final version:]

It was all gonna be cel-style ish, but then I realized it wouldn't emphasize the right places if I tried that xD so she came out like this.

I don't like the way the top right corner works together either. It was intended to help balance it out, but it didn't work so well xD In retrospect, I probably should've left the corner heart out-- it detracts from the spiral feeling I wanted.

I appreciate your intense comments, lynxie;)
